Back to being the biggest club in Coventry? (4 Viewers)

Funny though, considering a lot of the people outraged about Northampton and sniffing Wimbledon fans arses don't have an issue with wasps. #fixfootballbutonlywhenidisagree

It's an insult to CCFC fans to bring Wasps and MKDons moves in as a justification for moving us to Northamptpon.
Shame on you.

Faux outrage.

Oh and in no way does nick make any such justification.

Where was it justified? Shame on me? Shame on the people going bat shit mental about mistreating our fans with a temporary move and going mad about locals going to fans at sixfields that rock up to wasps games because they are fun.

I remember some posters going mad about free tickets too, crowd numbers being made up etc.

Multiple people off here who were so proud of their morals seem to drop them quick for a paper flag or some fireworks.

My morals are consistent, if we had been moved full time to Northampton I would never have gone. If we were moved on a temporary basis then announced as full time I'd have stopped!

Who exactly wants this - the usual 5 or 6 who either try and derail posts discussing the strategy of a Maltese hedge fund that will ultimately determine our destiny (you and Tony) or those posters now oddly absent when things look better on the pitch (dongonzalos, bigfatron and sky blue John?)

There it's 5 and unlike you I've named them.

Most people want to know whats going on with CCFC and what Sisu are doing about it.
This forum is not most people
Most can't be bothered to post on this forum as the like of you are ready to pounce, trading insults if they disagree with your opinion.
The result is that a potential forum for channelling our efforts has just become an anti Wasps and don't upset Sisu because the team is holding it's own forum.

Have I missed your posts about it being deleted then?

Can people not discuss multiple things?

Sisu told us we were never comng back so how did you know we would come back when you attended?
If you thought we were coming back then you attended knowing full well that the Sisu plan was to come back when ACL went bust.
If that was okay with you then good luck but most of us would have nothing to do with it and most just let you get on with it.
A few people barracked people going to sixfields but not the majority. Similar a few bought up free tickets.
It's easy to generalise but it's not the case and should not be bought up to enhance your weak case.

Where was it announced sixfields was permanent? It wasn't, was it?

You are conflating staying at Sixfields with never returning to the Ricoh, actually the 2 points are quite distinct.

No, I'm saying the move to sixfields was temporary. I couldn't see into the future, while it was temporary they were my team.

If something had changed then I'd re address it then.

Was a permanent location announced anywhere else or are we just going off something tim Fisher said (who everybody hates because he bullshits) to try and posture about never playing in Coventry again?

This is where you said it was permanent! Nice try though!

Never said it was.
Moving out with no known plan for return was a bit silly.
Almost as silly as those, including the FL, that actually believed they were building a new stadium.
So it was temporary then wasn't it, as it was never confirmed anywhere that sixfields or anywhere else was for good??

There's the difference, if it had been confirmed we were moving there or hinckley then I'd be done.

The same as if a premier league team moved here, I wouldn't support them.

It was claimed that we were not returning to the Ricoh. They had one speculative conversation with N&BBC and one speculative meeting with RBC at which Mr Fisher went on the record of saying that SISU's investors won't deal with CCC. So there's more evidence that unless we boycotted and forced them back (you're welcome by the way) we'd have been moving out of Coventry forever if they build a new ground. By turning up at Sixfields all you did was give SISU a mandate to keep us there until they'd achieved what ever they set out to achieve whatever that was and if it was to build a new stadium out of the city you also give the FL a mandate to relax there "rules" on how far away from the city centre we could be relocated.

You had no idea on whether we were ever coming back to the Ricoh or not without the benefit of hindsight (something you didn't have) and it's BS to try and claim otherwise. You rode your luck and luckily for you there was enough of us to boycott that the club came back.

You're no better than what you believe Italia is for attending Wasps matches. Worse probably, he's just a bandwagon jumper. You on the other hand actively promoted with your feet that it was alright for our club to be kidnapped and taken 34 miles away. That's the way I see it and in my book it's worse and I ain't alone either. However I have moved on and you're forgiven.

Let's be honest. The fact some supporters went to sixfields to watch a team they've supported all of their life is nothing like jumping on a franchise bandwagon. Stop talking tripe.

Yes you may not agree with me, that's what places like this are for. My point is it is consistent.

If we moved tomorrow for good to Northampton I'd never go, the same as I'd never go if villa or Leicester moved to the ricoh.

Yes they may have said we would never go back to the ricoh but I don't support the ricoh I support ccfc.

I think you will find at the time I said I'd go while it was temporary and would stop going if they said it would be full time. No hindsight there.

I.also said if they announced where the stadium would be I'd need to see where before making a decision. Which I still would if we moved.

Or I could have gone mental at some imaginary rumour we would be miles away, have a go at fans and calling them selfish and then gone to a wasps game and raved about it, then I could have said I didn't give a shit about wasps fans as I had had a great time, after protesting for months about fans rights.

Exactly! These people with their super morals that have given way for a flag or to see some fireworks, but you can't watch the team you have supported your whole life.

It was claimed that we were not returning to the Ricoh.

It was only ever said to be a temporary move, we only had permission from the FL for a temporary move, we only had an agreement with Northampton for a temporary move.

If it had at any point been announced it was a permanent move I'm sure that would have had an impact.

That is a million miles away from turning up to watch a team that's been permanently moved halfway across the country, by their own admission simply for their own financial gain.

SISU's plan at present time appears to be run club at break even. Employ a good manager. Give him a top 10 budget and let him and his staff have sole control of it. Use academy players as the foundation of the club moving forward. Appoint new CEO who appears to have both football knowledge and business acumen. Lower ticket prices to some of the lowest in the country.

What is Wasps then Tony and Italia? Re-mortgage the out of town stadium you bought for a sky high value and hope all comes off. Weren't this the very reason people didn't want the stadium to be sold to SISU? For fear of it being re-mortgaged?

*I am not saying SISU improving their management of the club this year forgives them for the previous years. Before everyone goes into meltdown

Last season the plan was to accelerate the progress of young players to make them assets. That over reliance on youth (and a young relatively inexperienced manager) nearly resulted in relegation as their inconsistency and inability to weather a full season resulted in a severe loss of form towards the end of the campaign.

Now Anderson has come in, possibly there will be another change of tack (or the good ship Venus will continue on the proven course, advised already by Prof Anderson that has brought good results in the first 1/3 of the season)?

I agree. It's worse. Going to Sixfields was a gamble that had the potential to do irreparable damage to the club they've followed all their life. Why you would take that gamble is beyond me.

Play dumb all you like Nick. We were told that we were never returning to the Ricoh and were building a new and that was going to be in the "Coventry area" whatever that was supposed to mean. I don't need to tell you that was what was said. I heard it, you heard it and so did everyone else.

I disagree that you're consistent. My position has never changed. Moving a club against it's fans will when there is no good reason to is wrong and you shouldn't support it by turning up. It's exactly the principle that keeps me away from Wasps games and the same principle that kept me away from going to Sixfields.

Current situation :
Sisu will be building a new ground as we require all the incomes from a stadium.
Sisu investors will not deal with CCC so the ground will not be in Coventry.

Anybody on here ever taken Sisu up on this ?
Nope !!

Just keep hitting the easy targets guys.

So create a thread about it then? As people are saying, multiple things can be discussed. The next time stadium news or lack of is released or in the press it will be discussed won't it?

Like the wasps stuff gets discussed as something happens or is in the news?

I keep reading tim Fisher is a liar and bullshitter but suddenly his bullshit should be believed?

Nothing was announced ever as permanent.

Why is it not consistent? I wouldn't go if we moved full time, I wouldn't go if a football club moved full time here. If barcelona moved here full time I wouldn't go.

If wasps was temporary then I'd have a different view, as would others I bet.

Yup, SISU are temporary owners, please let them go sooner rather than later.

That doesn't make sense? I think most people want better owners, there was an announcement saying the move was temporary then none after.

To most that would read as nothing had changed, so it was still temporary.

The best case Sisu plan was to come back as the owners of the Ricoh freehold at the expense of the Coventry ratepayer.
Plan B was to come back as the owners of ACL with no current contracts in place and after an ACL administration.
Both plans used our football team for leverage and both plans you knowingly must have suspected when you attended Sixfields.
It's a choice you made but it's not a choice the majority of fans made.

Isn't financial gain the reason we keep being told we have to move? Let's say for instance that we'd all decided that it was OK to go to Sixfields because it was "temporary". Next thing you get is the FL saying 34miles clearly isn't too far, if their owners want to move to Hinckley, Rugby, Leamington or Warwick we can approve that because they don't mind traveling 34 miles 15,20 or 25 miles will be acceptable.

There's more than one way attending Sixfields could have backfired.

For instance, if no one and I do mean no one attended we'd have been home for Xmas in my opinion. Not only that of we'd reinstated ourselves as anchor tenant it might have deflected wasps interests or even have put CCC in a position where they'd have to rebuff wasps interest and persevere with trying to find a solution with SISU.

Leaving the Ricoh lost us all claim to the Ricoh and the longer we were away the easier it got for someone else to take over.

You support wasps and they got the ricoh at the expense of the tax payer.

Ha why do you put temporary in speech marks? Can you post the link on the ccfc site confirming where the permanent move was to?

If we moved full time to survive 80 miles away then I assume italia and the trust would be bigging it up, I'd be out though.
