Still holding out hope for a tight little 20k ground in the city centre. Let's face it half the planned development won't happen.

The council have got an invitation to tender out for a development partner for City Centre South. That'd do me. Bulldoze most of the post war crap and replace with stadium.

Alas it isn't the downtown location he actually asked about. It's in a dreadful part of Coventry, poorly accessed and if it wasn't for Tesco it'd be virtually inaccessible by public transport. It really is or was so poorly planned considering the mammoth cost.

Don't think there's a gasworks or theatre there. There's a casino and hotel though.

Isnt there a train station?

I was thinking 24K would put us in a better place than we were when we left HR for the Ricoh.

It will be a sad day if we've been through all the crap we have been through since leaving HR and the stadium we end up with isn't even better than where we started out from.

This is a fair point. 23,490 it is.

That's exactly where I was thinking. Let's face it, no-one wants an "anchor store" and another cinema, online shopping and Internet piracy put paid to that.

Doubt you'd get the council on board but its actually a really good idea. We're constantly told the city centre is dying and there's lots of empty shops. Why not move them all to one part of the city centre and build a city centre stadium.

Be great for business on a match day. All the buses go there, train station is there.

And you'd have CCFC, CRFC and Blaze all next to each other, could share a shop, ticketing etc.

Makes far too much sense for there to be any chance of it even being considered.

I've got a different Impression from It compared to what was printed yesterday.
Looks like he was shooting from the hip yesterday and now the revisionists have gone through it
Yesterday reading what he was saying I had TF dead In the water, not so convinced now.

Yep, I said yesterday when everyone was getting hung up on his comment about talking to wasps, that there heavy hints of needing our own stadium. It seems that he said a bit more than was shared on the live feed.

He was on CWR this morning just after 9. Seemed to me he back tracked on what was reported yesterday/today ...... even referred to the prospect of a long term deal at the Ricoh reported by CT as the product of a slow news day.

Basically it just all seems non committal on everything - perhaps to be expected after being here three days - but not sure we are further forward, I read what he said as not saying much at all in reality

Did say that the new stadium would be in Coventry and they have the site, even shown it to the FL - but that appears to contradict so much of what was said before by several different people. What does in Coventry actually mean the interviewer suggested Brandon which of course is not in Coventry

Whats the current deal we have? Do we just get the money from ticket sales and club merchandise, with wasps getting our beer and pie money?

Personally i think the Ricoh is perfect for us home fans as 90% will drive there and the access to it is brilliant with it being sat on the a444. Away fan accessibility is the problem as its miles away from the town centre.

If a suitable deal can't be reached that would be sustainable in the championship and premier league (if we ever make it back up there). Then we must look to build a new ground.

Really? Will have to have a listen on listen again. Does anybody know when it usually appears online?

Any quotes about the "plan b"? Or just slipping it in the same as the Northampton stuff last week ;)

Some of the comments are quite funny.

He's asked if someone knows the magic formula to getting the crowds up tweet him.

I don't have a twitter account but can someone tweet him and say get rid of TF.

Is that next in line now we have cheap prices and are winning games and entertaining?

I think there is little doubt that the mere mention of his name in the media, his picture in the media, a statement in the media or the sound of his voice in the media does more damage than good with fans. He has become the ugly face of SISU and IMO that seems to have been quite deliberate. He doesn't seem to be able to open his mouth without pissing on someone's parade. TF staying out the media has been part of the feel good factor around the club. Not the only part, not the biggest part but a part.

Will it have an affect on the gates? Who knows, maybe not short term but long term his parting of ways from CCFC can only be part of the healing process between fans and SISU. The same cannot be said about him staying.

Yes, he may annoy people but do people really say they won't go because he has been in the CET that week?

It's not about what he said this week. It's an accumilation of thing's said and done since his arriaval.

He's the Gerald Ratner of football.

Not seeing that as a reason not to go really to support your football team.

If he goes, it will be something else, then once that is fixed it will be something else.

It doesn't stop me and yes for some there will always be a reason, we are the most fickle fans in football afterall ;)

His leaving would be the next best thing to SISU leaving IMO and it might just be enough to win some back until SISU do leave. Only then will we actually find out how fickle we really are.
