Not actually sure , However we have him for the season don't we . And with us being his 6th loan move you would imagine norwich won't rush just yet to get him back

Read the match report from Saturday's game which claimed that Murphy rejected a permanent move to Colchester last year. Who knows after this season.

It depends on how much crap our supporters give him during the games cos I sure as fuck would'not sign after being called "shite" fucking crap , etc

Must get behind all our players. Murphy can be hot or miss. Many times he drifts out of games or has a poor touch or runs into trouble. BUT in a flash he can turn a game, excite the crowd and set up or score a vital goal. Let's make him feel welcome. Let's let him know we want and value what he gives the team. And let's remember that if we are to challenge for promotion this season we need all the players we have to work together for that common goal

Pretty sure it's a negotiable clause in the loan contract. It's not like a short term youth loan which must include a recall option as part of the deal.

Let's hope he doesn't get a call up to the under 21's, because if Kent goes back we are still losing enough to get the game off.

That doesn't sound right, Norwich wouldn't let him go on loan to us until he signed a new contract so I'm sure they wouldn't have let him go to Colchester permanently.

I think it boils down to youth loan or not. With Bryn all youth loans must include a recall clause - hence they could farm him out elsewhere, however the Rory Donnelly loan deal that fell through was a season long loan with no recall clause, which meant he couldn't even play for Swansea U21s as a result...

I think the season-long deals are so that managers are able to realistically plan for the whole season without having to worry about losing the player at January after they have developed him into a world-beater!

I presume that Morris was recalled because he wasn't getting enough game time so not a similar situation

Me either, but Morris was recalled apparently.

Yes but wasn't that by mutual agreement. As far as I can deduce, reading the legal jangalese of the football league, a season long loan must stay until the next transfer window at least

Watch his first goal. If he had his arms out He could have touched half of the Colchester team while he was spinning.
