I´m a 27 year old Norwegian LFC-fan who occasionally do some amateur blog posts on LFC´s academy players out on loan, a couple of them have been posted on liverpool.no. I´ve always thought Ryan Kent was an exciting player to watch on LFCtv, and seeing him go out on loan, he was one I would follow with extra interest.
It soon became clear that you´ve got quite an exciting season going on, with a real chance for promotion. I´ve been to Anfield a couple of times but I try to go to other places to, like the Ipro, Turf Moor, Carrow Road, St James´, Easter Road in Edinburgh.. Always interesting to see new places and teams. So if Armstrong and Kent renews their loans (of course Kent is of particular interest to me, like I said), I might try and catch one of your games in early 2016.

Thing is though, if some of you would like to answer some questions I could try and use it in a feature article on Coventry and Kent. Just amateur stuff in Norwegian, it won´t be for a grand audience like ;)

1. How has life as a Coventry-fan been since initially getting relegated in 2001?
2. What´s your prediction for this weekend´s big encounter with Gillingham?
2. How do you see this season going?
3. How do you see the next 5 or so years going?
4. How do you feel the loanees have coped with League 1 football so far?
5. Do you get a lot of foreign interest in your club, f.ex from Norwegian, Swedish, Danish fans?

Thanks,
-John :)

1. Pretty awful until this season. The odd few months of decent form apart. Succession of crap owners, crap players and crap managers and every time you think it can't get worse it does.
2. Will be tough but the club is buzzing, I've predicted 3-2.
2. If we can get a CB in and keep Armstrong well be top 6. Lose one and top 8.lose both and don't replace with the same quality: top half.
3. Depends. If we keep what we have together and keep backing the manager I could see us getting promoted and having a decent first season up. I'd be happy if we were a Championship club in 5 years.
4. Armstrong and Murphy are too good for this league. Kent has looked like he's lacking end product but has improved. Morris wasn't good enough. Cole isn't fit enough. Turner and Bigi, we will see but I think they're both upper Championship players.
5. We used to get a lot, especially when we had players like Trod Egil Soldvedt and Roland Nillsson. Not so much since we haven't been able to afford foreigners.

1. Like itching your bollocks with an electric sander and then washing them in vinegar.
2. Will be a close one and should be a good game.
2. Keep the loans and we'll be ok. Should be the play offs at least.
3. Depends on our owners.
4. Like a duck to water. Too good for our league and they all look like they have a bright future ahead.
5. There are a few City fans in Oslo that I know of. I believe we have a Scandinavian Supporters Club. Also I did the Hammerby/AIK Stokholm derby a few weeks ago and a good number of the fans I spoke to there were very knowledgeable on all of our leagues.

If you do make it to one of our games over here make it known on here and I'm sure I won't be the only one that will meet you before and/or after for a beer.

might just be the greatest answer anyone has ever given to that question

Why Liverpool? They're the biggest set of wankers around.

And then comes our luck. Straight after you have done it a stunning bird comes up to you and tells you she wants your body. But you are in such agony that you have to turn her down :D

Might have something to do with the media exposure in Norway in the 90s because of the various Norwegians playing there when I was a kid.

As for stereotyping like this, well, I can´t say I don´t do the same with Chelsea.

Have a nice day, sir.

You are more than welcome to visit our wonderful stadium that we now rent.
With regards to Liverpool please be aware that a lot of us still bear a grudge as it was Liverpool fans that stopped us from playing in Europe and I doubt that we will ever get another opportunity.

Thanks for the tip, will keep it in mind!
And of course there's some entitled wankers in LFC's fanbase, but there's lots of good eggs as well. Good sorts and bad sorts, like in any fanbase :)

Hei John

1) it's been pretty pants since 2001 until this season really.

2) 3-2 to us

2) Play offs.

3) 5 years is difficult to predict. Our owners never seem to plan any further than 2 years in advance.

4) TM is pretty savvy in the loan market and on the whole they've been the difference for us this season although the spine of the team for me is Stokes and Vancelot who are both permanent signings.

5) My wife's Danish family follow Coventry since we've been together. I wouldn't go as far as to call them fans as they all seem to support Arsenal or Man U but they have a keen interest in Coventry since I joined their clan.

Aah, Danes, most I´ve met seem like affable and likeable people. Although (I´m ashamed to say), as a Norwegian I find it pretty damn hard to understand their language :p
Us Scandinavians are small language communities though, so being decent at English really is key to existing in the modern world :p

Fair enough, your fullback Stig (can't spell name) made his debut in the 5-1 defeat at Highfield Rd in 1992. You picked the wrong team clearly

You want to try understanding them as an English man. I love Scandinavians, they're alot like the British only better dressed.

1. Pretty tough going, trying to keep the kids interested in an unfashionable club that was not winning when the premier league is so successful
2. In the past we usually get a run together, get a few more bums on seats, only to see us lose. I think that this season is different, i have never known a season like it in 47 years, I think we will win today and win well. We are going to have a great season.
2. Promotion, regardless if we lose our loanees, I think TM has a plan B just in case we lose them and we have developed a winning mentality.
3. If we can keep the same management I think we will reach the championship play offs within five years
4. They have been the stand out players in most of the games that I have seen
5. I dont know

What I always say to foreigners about Norwegians is that we can seem a bit cold and distant at first encounters and that we need a lot of intimate space in public spaces and the like. But if you break the ice, we're quite easygoing, talkative and loyal. I like it in the UK as well, people are mostly up for a chat without that (at times) smarmy American brash way of being. Generalizations :)

Anyways, it's in Norwegian, but I wrote some words on Coventry here: https://rabiatlfcsupporter.wordpres...-city-fc-gar-det-mot-eit-etterlengta-opprykk/
Had it retweeted by some Norwegian accounts doing stuff on English football, so you're getting some exposure over here ;)
Going well against Gillingham as well, gonna be partying tonight for sure?!

SAS, you mean? Agreed, I always choose it when I can! Norwegian has had LOADS of trouble with their US/Asian-flights with the new Dreamliner(?) airplanes, massive delays. But they usually work just fine for shorter distances. Always had a good time with KLM, personally. Can't complain when there's tall pretty-looking dutch girls working, I like the Dutch :)
