Any idea if Ben Turner will be allowed to play again on Saturday? Do we have to get permission to play him,
from Cardiff City, on a game by game basis, dependent on his fitness?

My suspicion is he will play Phillips on Saturday. TM can show Cardiff that he is looking out for their player, and to be frank, it is a game we should be able to comfortably win without him.... famous last words!

After easing him in by only playing him for 55 mins aginst Gillingham, and after completing 90 against Bradford i would think the restrictions would of been lifted. They also want him up to speed and competing for a starting berth when he returns, so its in their interest for him to play as much as possible.

Also, he's got a 2 week break straight after the game, so should have plenty of time to recover.

Yeah i think he will play, he needs game time now. What do u think the chances are Cole of playing? Maybe they will wait for after the 2 week break to make sure he is ok, or give him 30-45 mins to see how he copes.

Agree, but also given the 2 week break do we need to take the chance - plenty of games to play at Xmas too...

Can we afford not to? We have let in 1 goal in 2 games since he has been with us, our record between Redas injury and Turner coming in is considerable worse.

He had better be playing! The image of watching him rise like a salmon in front of me while flattening the Gillingham right back before causing a minor earthquake when he torpedoed that header down in front of their keeper and into the roof of the net is still with me.
Not unlike others I have watched that clip over and over again on SBP. Oh and his defending is just so solid.
Can't believe I might be happy for a whole season

Could just have been a restriction at the start as he hadn't played much. As he got through 90 mins OK on Tuesday assuming he's had no negative reaction I reckon he'll play.

Mowbray said Cole is aiming for the Sheffield Utd game to be fit.

Tangent, Is the gap
of Ben Turner scoring in consecutive games for City (v Leeds Oct 2010 then sold to Cardiff & then his first game back last Saturday) the longest gap for a City player?

he will definitely play due to the 2 week break

btw FOR FUCK SAKE A 2 WEEK BREAK WILL BE HORRIBLE FOR FANS

Why will it be?

If we win our next game we will stay top for at least two more weeks :)

Gary Bannister may have had a longer gap between CCFC goals (without checking books, etc)
