Match Thread Luton Town - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 26th Apr

Some massive calls for FL to make and will be interesting to see which way he goes. Luton will be equally as uncompromising and direct, if not more so. We simply have to match them up. Collins or Wilson. Collins shot to pieces but Wilson hasn’t played in some time and is also prone to...

Match Thread Plymouth Argyle - Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 21st Apr

Today again sums up the Championship and why there are no easy games….. From where we were in early December, I recall folk talking about targeting mid table and building for next season - doubt anyone was talking PO’s let alone being 3pts ahead of the pack with 2 games to go - unbelievable...

Match Thread Coventry City - West Bromwich Albion Match Thread - Friday 18th Apr

Haven’t commented on last nights match thread but thought we played well, and created more than enough to win. I’m saying, same team as started last night unless Thomas is fit, in which case he comes in JL. Hopefully a better all round contribution from Wright. Re this game: Full house, nervy...

Got a good feel for that team. About as strong as we can put out and staying with his preferred 433. Not an awful lot on the bench to change it up.

Favourable set of results for the 2nd week running presuming we get something from this game. Personally, prefer to see Simms in for this one, and Wright on the left. Collins MVE Thomas Kitching JDS Allen Grimes Rudoni Saka Simms Wright Head is saying we draw - win though would...

So many point do you think we need to confirm a play off place ?

It’s all if’s, buts, and maybe’s but my quick, back of fag packet calculations: Brizzle finishing the season on 68, WBA on 67 With us on 68 and Boro on 69 going into our final game showdown, which we win to qualify in 5th, and Boro get 6th. All 3 of us have fairly similar run-ins in terms of...

Match Thread Coventry City - Burnley FC Match Thread - Saturday 5th Apr

Got a feeling we could we see a return to a back 3 for this one? Collins/Wilson Lati Thomas Kitching MVE Sheaf Grimes Rudoni Saka Simms Wright Or if we stick with a back 4 Collins/Wilson MVE Thomas Kitching Bidwell Sheaf Grimes Saka Rudoni Wright Simms Don’t really fancy either GK but would...

Match Thread Sheffield United - Coventry City Match Thread - Friday 28th Mar

Can’t be arsed to read through the past 20 pages or so, but this is fu****g embarrassing, every one of them. Defensively shambolic. Over ran in midfield Saka, EMC and Haji not broken sweat. O’Hare now on, goal incoming no doubt just to complete the misery…

    Championship thread 24/25!

Embarrassing/comical/dreadful defending by Norwich. Their 33 looks a proper liability. They do carry a goal threat though so this could end up any kind of score, very open.

100% agree and same experience re logged in but adverts. Rendering it pretty unusable, sadly.

Match Thread Coventry City - Sunderland Match Thread - Saturday 15th Mar

I like these last few posts and it will be interesting to see if FL sets us up to win or not to lose… A back 3 certainly means Grimes has to play further forward but does he naturally drop too deep as we haven’t gotten a natural ball playing centre back…. For me it also demonstrates what a...

Match Thread Derby County - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 11th Mar

As many have said, too many below par performances; Kitching, Bidwell, Wright, Eccles… Amateur/Sunday league defending at the free kick for their goal. Pitch is awful for this day and age, but obviously the same for both sides. Step up in quality needed 2nd half.

    Match Thread Home game atmosphere

Super yesterday - much more like it, helped by the last minute winner of course. But please to a higher authority, can they sort out the prematch music…. Nothing sums up an intimidating/ferocious home support like the Heartbeat theme tune.

    Stoke player ratings

Reading some of the ratings-comments it makes me wonder if I was at the same game… Stodgy performance but battled well without much movement/fluidity ~ 6’s and 7’s all round. And everyone loves a last minute winner Thought Midfield was pretty non existent in general play. 2 very well taken...
