I've really tuned up my diet in the last 6 months..... dropped out cheese, butter/marge, all bread, crisps, biscuits.
I've seen no difference in the scales either (although i am probably very close to "fighting weight")
However the difference in how i feel and recover from hard training sessions has been massive. I've also got noticeably quicker.
On the food front, i'm probably eating more calories now, but from better sources such as vegetables and fish..... and i never feel uncomfortably full (like you would after say a kebab and chips)........ if for whatever reason my diet slips, for example if i'm away for the weekend somewhere, i'm looking forward to getting back home and getting some good food in, as its genuinely making me feel better.
Was out in Kenilworth last night..... had a Salmon Curry, a pint of coke and a pint of soda water..... its hard when others are knocking back pints, but i was up this morning to run 9 miles, so i consider the "sacrifice" worth it.
