Remember the days when an outfield player doubled as a keeper in an emergency.
I nominate Jamie Allen, will cover ground quickly in the 6 yard box & give us a presence at corners.

Jamie Allen has done that thing again where he has a really good game (Sunderland) then goes missing for a couple but no one notices. Not in our strongest 11 for me, I would actually be tempted to try captain fantastic in this, we need him to play his part. If not just Torp, Pompey at home the kind of game he can really turn it on.

Allen hasn't been that bad! Having said that, it's time for Sheaf. If we're to win the play offs we need him at his best with Grimes and Rudoni. Play our best players (of which he undoubtedly is despite some people slagging off an injured player) and try Wilson tonight

3 points is a must tonight-no excuses. Are we going to be hampered by Collins being in between the sticks or do we take a gamble on a half fit (apparently) Wilson? Both are a gamble at this stage but we really need to back Collins if he plays as his confidence is obviously shot. A clean sheet would be just what the doctor ordered and hoping for a 2-0 victory. 😀

So tonight if Collins in goal, the back 4 need to step up and not give him anything to do, I don't care if we are clearing balls into row Z all game, keep it away from Collins

Does anybody know what the Keeper situation is with Wilson? Collins has the ability to make a good save, however he is unfortunately mistake burdened (We're not talking the odd mistake its a common thing here). In my opinion his career should be over at Cov - you may think it's harsh but as standards go it HAS to be higher. It's not just his performance, it effects the team and also the way the defence plays. Does anyone actually know what's happened to Wilson? During our promotion run season he was one of the best keepers in the league, then all of a sudden he was replaced and struggled to find consistency himself? I can only think he had a medical condition, does anyone actually know what caused the fall off? If it were me I'd bench Collins, if not for his mistakes, to protect what's left of his confidence. I do fear Collins will start and make another clanger, damaging our promotion bid and all hell will break loose.

I would start with Sheaf, if he is fully match fit, to steady the ship defensively.

We have enough creative players to win this. It's the defence - as usual - that worries me, especially with Dovin out.

Sheaf has contributed next to nothing this season and I suspect his City career is nearing an end.
I'm not sure I'd play him even if fit to be honest, (and in all liklihood he's not).

I see you’re unfamiliar with the Coventry way, put a tenner on an away win trust me 😉

😂 Hopefully you're right but it's almost impossible for us to get an away result.

As long as you put 11 players on the pitch, you'll win.

We just aren't clinical enough up top and make too many mistakes defensively away from home.

You'll be far too good for us at your place.

I think you'll win 3 1.

Enjoy the game.

Don't know about any of that, but this match has got both teams to score written all over it.

...a medical condition 🤣 🤣 🤣
He's just not as good as many of the fans seem to think.
No idea why we gave him a new contract at this point.

Think there’s zero chance we catch Bristol now. Playing for one spot
Zero chance? We'll only be a point behind them with a win. They've got a few difficult games in there too. Plenty more twists and turns to come yet, teams fighting in different situations. Look at Sheff Utd, lost back to back games against Oxford and Millwall
