If Boro would have won we would have needed a point at Luton ( unlikely) to ensure taking it to last game of season. Now we just need to beat Boro. Strange day

Wouldn't it be funny if Millwall sneaked in at the expense of us and Mboro?

How we'd all laugh, at the 'Madness of the Championship™'.

How? Does goal difference not come into it & it's on head to head?!
Someone said the same thing yesterday.

This is the table now. If we lose against Luton and Boro win their game, we will both be on 66 points, with them above us on GD

If we beat Boro, we will have 69 points and they will still be in 66, so GD does not come into it.

No need for ant 4 goal turnaround or whatever. Just need the win in that scenario.

What’s the likelihood of Boro losing at home to Norwich? I’d say extremely slim.

Meaning the Luton game is now pretty much meaningless

Fucking hell I've had a mare there, course we only need to win as we will both be on 66 points 🫣😂

I love this time of year 😂

Don’t want to see Collins, Allen, Bidwell or Simms in the starting line up next week.
Think we're going to need Simms for his size, when defending corners. He can also win headers from attacking set pieces (our goal v Plymouth). Agree with Allen - the Luton game will be too physical. Bidwell on a narrower pitch, might not be so vulnerable, but will likely be JDS. Picking up some sort of a result will be massive. Weirdly, a draw will probably be just as valuable as a win, as either will likely mean a draw is enough v Boro.

It wouldn’t be any positive to maintain this position playing as bad as yesterday.
We simply can’t play Collins, he is absolutely dreadful. Lampard is going to have to change things around. Latibeaudiere is shockingly bad too, Bidwell not good enough and Sakamoto plays no part. Quite honestly we’re not good enough to go up, not even close, we’ve done well to still be in the mix.

Not quite. You’d rather go into the last game needing a draw rather than a win

Good point. However if we’re in that situation my concern is that we’ll try and play for the draw.
If we do that we’ll lose

Boro would have to go for broke which should play into our hands. That and the psychological aspect of going into the game 6th versus 7th.

More than that though, I want a response to yesterday

Everyone around us lost too, still 3pts clear roll on Saturday
Yep, we didn't get back until nearly ten last night, and my lad and I were reflecting on this on the way back. Would rather be sixth three points ahead than in Middlesborough's position.

Luton is just must not lose. We need at least a draw. If we lose (assuming borough beat Norwich) then we have to beat them at home. If we get a draw at Luton, the worst we need is a draw v Borough.
