Palmer and Godden up front is like playing with 9 men. Nothing is sticking and their movement is poor.

I really like Seri, as I appreciate ball playing midfielders. But he’s actually not hard to stop, just have Palmer sit on him and their play stops.

Praying the plan is: contain for 45, all out for 45.

Not an inspiring team, but if it gets us to HT it’ll have done a job. Then a strong three on the bench at least. I’m trying to be optimistic! On the tired/fatigued point, I would have thought Sheaf was on the list and Simms was not. Let’s hope we don’t have a stroppy Godden today.

More from the freak show that is United post semi-final

He is a massive massive scum bag and is unanimously hated in the game. He goes against the adage of ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’.

Team selection is really tricky. I get the idea to rest players, but unless they are dead on their feet we have to go for it in order to keep any hope aliSheaf looked exhausted, but mentally I think he needs to start and hear how much everyone is behind him. Team should be; Collins MVE Thomas...

    Fábio Tavares

Also worth noting his quick development; he started against Maidstone on the wing and looked entirely clueless. Which can be partly expected as he’s clearly a poacher looking to run behind and not a winger. Came on today, looked more tactically and positionally aware and helped changed the...

Match Thread Coventry City v Manchester United - FA Cup Semi-Final

I’m sure it’s been said but Onana really is a wanker as well. Loved the challenge on Fernandes from Binks, shame nobody got to go through Onana. The blatant dissent after being booked for time wasting to then go behind his goal and drink from his water bottle is infuriating. No Ref anywhere...

    Luis Binks

I really like Binks, he does make the odd mistake but part of that can be attributed to inconsistent game time. He’s mentioned a few times he wants to be here next year and on current form he should be ahead of Kitching. Stumbling block will be the reported £30k a week wages.

    Wembley and the London Marathon

Thank you! Really kind words and it’s appreciated This is the start of a larger running challenge I’m doing for charity, so I’ve got another ~860 miles to run in the next 4 months. I have at least one more marathon lined up, so this has given me confidence to push for another PB!

    We NEED to appeal that.

Appeal is pointless but something should be raised. It’s an absolutely horrendous decision however you look at it. Manual lines being drawn and perfectly timed for when it leaves the players foot? It’s bullshit and we were screwed by it yesterday. As a general rule I find conspiratorial stuff...

    Wembley and the London Marathon

I did indeed, sub four hour marathon, despite one of those “proper” runners (too short shorts, weirdly skinny etc) tripping me up at mile 3. I was in my seat for KO and despite the result, I’m so pleased I made it! So close to being a perfect day! And people around me were very congratulatory...

Match Thread Coventry City v Manchester United - FA Cup Semi-Final

Not read the thread yet, but just watched the coverage from when we scored our first. Not sure if it’s been mentioned but the commentators are absolutely shite. Barely any credit given to us, especially Lee Dixon. I met him once when I was playing football at a decent level and he was an...

    Wembley and the London Marathon

If I get to Wembley tomorrow but miss the cut off to get into the stadium, will any bars nearby be showing it? Or will I have to sit outside and just listen to the crowd/watch on my phone like a loser?!

If I thought that could even possibly be true, I’d be offended!

Bit of a desperate attempt that.

    Wembley and the London Marathon

Managed to sort a plan which should get me there for just after kick off. It’s obviously reliant on a few things, such as me actually finishing the race in a decent time….! But feeling more positive I’ll make it before they shut the gates. If you see an exhausted half dead looking marathon...

Not even that - I only have limited bag space! Tbf I doubt I’ll be the smelliest person there based on home games!

2.5 hours is mental. I definitely haven’t prepared anywhere near enough for 3 hours, never mind 2.5!
