Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Friday 23rd Feb

We certainly have. But at least now we have bigger players that can look after themselves as well as the smaller but more agile players. Just hope we have a ref who looks out for their 'dark arts' efforts.

Games are normally moved because they are on Sky. Sky has the rights to show through most of Europe and around the world. When this happens it becomes audio only. Because of where I now live I don’t normally need a VPN. But when on Sky I normally set my VPN to Luxembourg and it normally works...

    CCFC 10 years from now...

Robins and those who have helped him over the years have overridden the ownership problems. We didn't know at the time but the best thing to happen was Robins leaving us for Huddersfield. The idiots in charge at Huddersfield expected a sudden improvement. Their loss. Look where we were and...

    FA cups

Plastic is being phased out everywhere. And football supporters can't be trusted with glass.... My pet hate is paper straws. They don't do their job properly whereas if you hold a paper cup nearer to the bottom it does its job.

I prefer the quiet approach if the person is close by. That nearly always works. But when riled I will shout STFU. It always goes very quiet for a few seconds 😁

Instead of opening your eyes try opening tour ears. Read some of the posts again. A passing comment that wouldn't even register with you can be so hurtful to others. Nobody is asking for special treatment. People are asking to be treated fairly. What's the problem with this? A few years ago we...

But why does that make him a control freak?

When Palmer got the racial abuse they went mental on there. Countless were trying to blame Palmer for what happened. There was a few that tried to talk sense but they soon got shouted down even when one mentioned they have black players themselves and why would they want to continue playing for...

I think the problem with perception these days is people see gay couples on the TV in a safe environment and other things like marches and gay pride week and think everything has changed yet don't consider how many idiots there are out there. People love to take offence at anything they don't...

Safe Standing Survey Email from CCFC

Very easy questions until the last one 😂 Certainly the way to go but don't like the idea of people not wanting/able to stand who have sat there for years and would have to move. Behind the goal would be best. Used to love standing behind the goal. I think singers corner would affect less...

Do you mean Hill/Robins from the 60's? Derrick Robins was our rich chairman when Hill got us promoted from the 3rd division to the 1st division then resigned for media work IIRC. The modern day Robins has done it without a pot to piss in. If he gets us to the top flight it will certainly be...

When we won the FA cup it was taken seriously by all sides. No youth teams put out. But it could also be won by many sides. It was before Sky ruined football. Replays? Sometimes they just kept going. Wembley? You had to make it to the final. A draw in the final? Let's have a replay 😂 So how...

It was what you brought up. You keep moving the goalposts. You said it doesn't matter who we play because we can still lose. But it matters that we have to play teams near the top. No contradiction? The teams near the top also still have to play each other. Hull v WBA Saturday, for instance.

And then mainly near the bottom half. That's why I said I would be happy with a draw against the sides near the top. Even Preston at home who are 2 points and a GD of 22 in our favour wouldn't be a bad result if we draw.

So it matters that we have to play teams at the top but it doesn't matter about playing teams at the bottom because we could lose to them? No more replies from me as you just seem to be after an argument.

I don't agree with those born male but taking part in womens sport as being fair. Women can train as hard as they like and be as gifted as possible but they will always be on another level. Womens records are being smashed at several sports yet some make out it makes no difference. But...

How many sides near the top do we have left to play? How many sides around us have to play other teams at or near the top? It isn't a must win game like many keep quoting. But if we lose they go above us and at least one of the two sides above us will pull away even further. Then we will have...
