re League 1 have checked the 23 clubs Not possible to get all the info on turnovers from Co House - not all companies have filed accounts yet. Some that have dont have to provide the detail. So missing info on 10 (Wycombe, Fleetwood, Doncaster, Gillingham, Ipswich, Bristol Rovers, Accrington...

    19/20 Accounts

Edit to the above post number 306 all that follow are estimates to be able give examples Say that the non ticket matchday income is £1m net of VAT (that is £1.2m gross or £52k including VAT per league game or for 15k average gate a spend of approx. £3.50 per person) Take out the direct costs...

    19/20 Accounts

This is what Fisher said in the 2020 financials on the lease situation Clearly the two sides were talking before the pandemic hit. We can see for ourselves that the club was suffering financially at St Andrews even if it wasnt suffering on the pitch. The missing 5 games would not have got rid...

Pure guesswork for coming season 2021/22 but Turnover Match day income (if opened up ) say 4m Central distributions £7m Commercial income etc £3m Total in region of £14m ? Player sales - who knows ? Transfer market will not be easy and i don't see MR wanting to lose his star players, if there...

The average crowd 2019/20 season at st Andrews was 6677. There would have been a definite increase in crowds for the last 5 home games I would agree. To increase the season average to 12000 would mean over 31000 for each of the 5 missing games. Possible but very very unlikely. Yes the final...

Hopefully when full crowd numbers are allowed we begin to see that. But that i think will need the team playing well and staying in the Championship. My own opinion is it is going to take more than a couple of seasons to recover from the period 2019 to 2021

Given the pandemic and the struggle of the club you might think there was a possibility of the owners forgoing the interest for a year to help the club cope .............. not holding my breath on that one though

    19/20 Accounts

The owners put in £1.635m during the financial period and there was still £1.141m in the bank at the year end so did the owners cover the cost of St Andrews or squeeze the budget? Looks like the latter to me Owners do not have to charge interest at all, or they can charge a lower interest, or...

But then if you include the turnover for those 5 games you also have to include the costs. I think there would have been an increase in crowds but not sure we would have got to 20k from an average of 6677

Because CCFC were not promoted until 9th June 2020 (after the year end 31/05) the bonuses were not contractually due at the Balance sheet date because no one knew if promotion would happen at 31/05/2020 the figure will be included in the 2021 financials. Well that is what the financial...

    19/20 Accounts

Lets see if we can simplify things regarding the loss. (refer to my previous post on this thread 131 for thoughts on calculations) The loss was £3,385,242 in 2020 (2019 was a profit £69,916) For both years that is the figures after including any interest charged on loans whether repaid...

    19/20 Accounts

Not going to go through every figure but this is my take on the 2020 financials. - The pandemic kicked in from 23/03/2020 and yes did affect the club just like every other business in the UK. There were five home fixtures missed just at the time when we were top of the division but the net...

    Derby County deduction?

Clearly it isn't right that is why the EFL challenged it and in the end won their case. With the exception of sums available for development perhaps, i do not see how you can include a residual value for something that simply finishes and no longer exists at the end of its term. In fact there...

No it wasn't actually was a Derby based firm called Smith Cooper audit ltd

    Derby County deduction?

Apparently it isnt that the contracts are not amortised, they are, but Derby have been including a residual value in the calculation which other clubs do not. Normally 200k contract purchase over 2 years would mean amortisation of 100k per year It seems Derby did a calculation something like...

    Derby County deduction?

Derby havent even filed their 2019 accounts yet. They were due June 2020 2017 showed £8m in losses 2018 showed £14m in profit ( but only after a £40m profit on the stadium disposal ) Both 2017 & 2018 show amortisation(depreciation) of player registrations The auditors would be hard pressed...

Was just expressing my opinion when saying " not going to happen". I could of course be wrong but so far i have seen nothing that persuades me it is remotely likely. But as you say there is always a possibility however remote. I certainly do not profess any great knowledge of the German set up...

So basically German investors were gaining something by putting their money in whereas English investors are expected by some to give up something for little or no compensation having already substantially invested. Not going to happen.

But who approves the rule changes in EFL/FA? They are rules & regulations not statute do owners want fundamental changes to their clubs? or EFL etc? who needs to maintain their control - it is owners isnt it Anything less than 25% ownership gives little control and what if an owner doesnt want...
