    Sheffield Wednesday 20th Jan

Bodes well for the cup match too as there seems to be a lot of fans who missed out who might want to go to that fixture

Yes as its always useful to back up points with stats? Martin made the point Eccles's balls resulted in goals of which Eccles has assisted one. But to highlight the limitations of stats compare the ones you shared with the ones I did, why the disparity? A prominent ai stats website has Jay...

In fairness he also is rated on a separate stats site along with Jay deSilva as being our most progressive passer what does that say? https://m.aiscore.com/tournament-english-football-league-championship/8vrqwnin9sjqn2o/stats To me it says stats only tell so much of the story. As I said to...

Agree he is and my post was not a critical one. It's the reading of the game and his awareness at all times that to my mind stops him being a top top player and if that clicks he should be in the side every week.

If you can back that up with stats it would be useful? I am sad enough sometimes to watch games I see live back in full and I suggest of the midfielders he plays the least progressive passes per match on a consistent basis but would no doubt have great sideways pass completion stats. My main...

    Transfer targets

He is currently a very decent squad player and we are lucky to have him. Where I think he draws critical comments is for how he makes relatively few progressive passes to forwards and more noticeably on Saturday against a very average Oxford and disproportionately in other games gets caught in...

Wilson was no more than a 5 and a number of posters have said the same thing. The second goal was saveable and generally I was reminded why he makes me nervous!

    Binks v Kitching

Both are decent at this level and both play far more silly long balls than Thomas but of the two Kitching is our player and has played with Thomas for two seasons now so should start. Binks is a decent back up option.

    Simms

Agree he needs to be a 1 in 3 or 4 forward in that role. But given the new system I am happy we at least have one forward that has the attributes to tire defenders as without that we are currently quite lightweight form a physicality perspective up front.

If we could only win one ...

The draw is wide open, Man City, Liverpool aside all of the winners of those ties I would take our chances against at a full CBS. Who is to say City and Liverpool dont get drawn against each other next round also. I get why some fans are a bit on the fence, but win at Wednesday and then get...

FA CUP 4TH ROUND DRAW - MONDAY 19:50 (ish)

I would take that as we would have a great chance of being in the quarter finals!!

    Matty Godden

Godden is by far the more clinical finisher but being objective and fair to Simms would Godden have had the pace and power to do what Simms did for the Sheaf goal?

    Millwall Game Moved

Maybe I am a fool but when it comes to the club I support all over the UK. I see my season ticket (to some extent) as a pledge of allegiance and if I could have saved £50 by going game by game I try not to worry too much as I hope the club are going to use my funds to improve the entertainment...

    Millwall Game Moved

Sky are an operational reality and if we get where we aspire to be are you going to refuse to attend games? The people you should be complaining to is Sky as they call the shots, trying to hold the club to ransom that unless games are played when it suits you, your attendance will be withdrawn I...

    January transfers around the league

An international winger! Quite a bit I would imagine. I am not sure why the West Brom loan has not been continued with however and I am sure Robins will have other targets.

I think about that maybe more. Given the results of late I can see the walk up being the largest of the season.

Match Thread Coventry City v Oxford United - FA CUP 3RD ROUND - 6th January 12:30

McFadz in a back 4 might not be pretty and I remember the days he used to get exposed by league 1 teams for pace. He became a ball playing lynchpin in a back 3 but to play a rusty McFadz in that role to me is not fair on him.

Match Thread Coventry City v Oxford United - FA CUP 3RD ROUND - 6th January 12:30

We should start our best team apart from a couple of changes for players who need a rest (like we did vs Swansea), try and get a solid lead and change the team from a position of strength rather than when were chasing the game with the crowd panicking! One thing we don't need is a replay...

If Saka or Wright were out for 3 or 4 games who do ypu think would play in the wide roles as effectively as we are currently enjoying? For me this is an area we need some cover for.
