    Bolton Troubles

no thanks Nick .... think that would have been a nightmare not a dream

    Bolton Troubles

they werent landed with it, they chose to accept it at a time they had the most leverage. It was a fundamental error on their part, something every other potential investors saw and walked away from.

    Bolton Troubles

No they haven't asset stripped but it has all been about trying to get things in the best interests of their investors not necessarily the club. It very nearly worked but equally it very nearly caused complete disaster for CCFC. Football is high risk enough without that additional endangerment...

48 hours away from expulsion / New Ricoh Talks!

The EFL have regulations not rules and those regulations are subject to the discretion of the EFL Board. That means they can and do relax requirements as and when they see fit. (being sceptical of what they do or regulate i would suggest that is any time they are put under pressure to make a...

    still nothing...

I do not think Boddy has the authority to sign any deal without SISU's say so. He is also not a director of Otium. Given the legal wranglings that have gone on for 5 years you would expect wasps to insist on contractual assurances from SISU themselves and their agreement of any of the terms...

    still nothing...

The Wilson money should be an extra not something to simply keep the business going. What happens if it isn't one year exile its 2 or 3? What happens if Wilson isnt sold or picks up another serious injury? Last time when we went to Northampton CCFC made over £7m in losses in one year with SISU...

    Player of the Season Vote

Kelly for me, but Hyam was a very close second to getting my vote. Would be happy if either get the award

    Oggy Retiring

Top keeper, loyal servant of the club, who never got the England cap he deserved. Good luck in your retirement Oggy, enjoy life.

    Fan Groups and Season Tickets

The optimism from this season and the potential for a deal should mean more ticket sales. I think the fans groups should encourage fans to get involved, but above all CCFC marketing needs to crank it up too. Using the logic that MR needs the money is there an argument for not having an early...

48 hours away from expulsion / New Ricoh Talks!

i wouldnt bet on it. Given the events planned when are they going to get the time to lay it. Last time i think they said it cost £500k, Wasps are not awash with cash and do they need a new pitch for themselves?

48 hours away from expulsion / New Ricoh Talks!

You can look at it like that certainly. However if you were Wasps then you could think moving out of the City would seriously damage the club and not see it as much of a bargaining tool. I think that part of the CCFC statement has more to do with the EFL & other clubs than any real negotiating...

48 hours away from expulsion / New Ricoh Talks!

EFL meeting postponed to 29 May What the statement says is about a licence extension nothing to do with ownership of the stadium If it is a one year deal then that means the roundabout continues next season. Thought SISU wanted a five year deal to cover building the new stadium?

    Very good Guardian article

Agreed but I am allowed the odd opinion;)

    Very good Guardian article

No I wasnt. Nor was i aware at the time of assets being moved or misplaced Both as bad as each other. Which is the point I was trying to make I suspect the purchase of wasps didn't happen in part because ACL could not afford it.

Match Thread Portsmouth vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 22nd Apr

I thought the team put in a great performance and deserved something from this game. Burge - sorry but we need a better option next season What cost us was our problem all season ...... a failure to convert our chances.......... (with assistance from our keeper)

    Very good Guardian article

I think the article is largely factual in what is included and is best understood when the links included in it are read with it. It is however slanted in a particular direction and it was intended to be. It is an opinion on the SISU tactics & strategy that have been used in the dispute. Like it...

    Joy At The Game Today

Sorry but I don't see how some of that even works. Why would wasps even consider selling at 2014 values they would argue it is now worth more. Want current value. Would they need to sell ACL shares or just an interest in the lease? Why would sisu/ccfc buy in to the bond liability.? The...

    Butts

I think you under estimate Jon Sharpe. His focus is on what is best for CRFC. Yes he has to keep on the right side of the Council but i am not sure he has to try that hard There are contracts already in place for cov united, cov bears, cov ladies etc for pitch rental. Those would need to be...

    Silence Is deafening

Have CCFC or SISU talked to Wasps then? If so i would think the only way they get a deal is by confirming no more legals regarding the sale of the stadium to Wasps. Given the Supreme Court only issued their ruling on Tuesday i am sceptical that a meeting let alone a deal has taken place I...
