Agree, but there were times early season where our defence was severely depleted and gave a few soft goals away. Fine margins and all that.

That’s how I understand it. No Giles for them today. No Howson. Rested? Got a knock? Really difficult to prove that a few players aren’t 100%. Even if a slight knock, if the game isn’t crucial, you don’t take the risk. Middlesbrough can rest / rotate / not risk a fair few of their first team.

If the boot was on the other foot, I don’t think our fans would care if we played our second team and lost, we’d have the common sense to know that resting players was the right thing.

So we want Boro to win now then Luton to win later? I guess that works.
