if you are now after a head coach as opposed to a manager, assuming the only real difference is "say in transfer market dealings" why do you not want the "head coach" to have this input any more? If that's not the case, what do you see as the difference between a head coach and a manager?

i hope you're right re: during the window, just an odd comment in the statement, everyone would feel better if Doug at least pretended to have a plan!

Dougs words - we are going to take our time...doesnt suggest a couple of weeks to me. He may have a plan, its just odd he wouldn't say he has. Would you take us picking up similar points to what we already have by Christmas and Carr still being in charge?

based on his statement (which may not be true tbf!) he doesnt know who he wants and isnt going to make a decision quickly, so its impossible to say whether its right or wrong yet. i'm just suggesting if we fumble along for a bit with the odd result he may just leave it and delay, which doesnt...

right now i dont want any more cards in Kings hands to "prove" he made the right decision... His statement effectively confirming nobody is lined up and we wont rush anything, i would rather he gets this sorted quickly, than "waiting and seeing" - if losing a couple of games sorts that...

who actually cares?! actually kind of hope we lose the next few to force King into a decision, rather than pissing about with Interim coaches who fluke the odd point here and there.

Rhys Carr - Interim Head Coach

its not Carrs fault we're in this position, no point turning on him if things dont go well now
  8. ccfcricoh

Right who's the next manager then?

"Who's the next manager" - Doug not looking for a manager at all!

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

gutted, but at the end of the day, we don't know whether it is the right or wrong thing to do yet... Doug has to get the next appointment right, its early days, but who on that list does a better job than Robins?!

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

an "interim head coach" - so one of the many coaches he has to pick from

    Raphael

assuming he has been registered as a player with the FA/EFL it can't be a VISA issue Must be injury/fitness, no reason Robins would lie about it tbf

same XI assuming no new niggles. Another week off for them after these 2 games so no need for resting and nor should we carry on performances of last 2 games and it'll be 3 points

    cheating fake injuries again

dont stop the game for injuries... let the physios come on and play round them, if you stop the game for an injury, you have to either be subbed off or sit off for 5 mins... you'll soon realise that there are actually hardly any injuries in football!

    And with that Simms chance....

now thats a different point entirely 😂

    How is Aled Williams employed?

just stick with Dovin, he's the youngest, got the brightest future, the more we play him now the quicker he will improve, chopping and changing helps nobody

    Rudoni …?

yea a bit frustrating, there were a couple of genuinely brilliant balls into the box though, which we havent had for a while!
  19. ccfcricoh

    And with that Simms chance....

Maybe its just cos i cant be arsed to be negative like most, but you absolutely want your striker taking that opportunity on themselves, he did well to create the space and got a decent shot away that was going bottom corner, keeper made a good save, the pass was a harder option in my eyes.

Match Thread Queens Park Rangers - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 22nd Oct

just hoof it up! chase everything down, I like our normal "play it out" approach, but even that's failing us and we seem to be incapable of 5 yard passes sometimes, ball over top, run onto it, got to be worth a go!
