Well I can sleep better tonight now.
Ground back:
Staying in championship: more hopeful than a month ago, but not counting my chickens just yet, they say things happen in threes, new owners ??
And that might be what has happened at Rotherham I thought I read it was six or seven with the virus but I suspect others who have had contact with any of them would have to self isolate for ten days so in an environment like a football club it could effect quite a few.
This was never going to happen overnight I’m puzzled so many thought it would at the moment I view it as a cloud with a silver lining, the fact something might be in the wind is the only plus at the moment.
It’s a big chance to bridge the gap relatively cheaply, I think if we added two or three experienced quality players to our squad plus another striker we can become a decent top ten team and if we do that top six beckons
I am sure the EFL have the discretion to move fixtures during this crisis I think that has been already been done but I’m not so sure about the international break that might not be in their remit as it is a UEFA stipulation I think.
He has also benefited by being a regular in the first team premier clubs will be monitoring him and he probably will move on one day but having his arse parked on a subs bench week after week will do him know good whatsoever. I don’t think many championship clubs can afford him now money is...
That’s what I am saying Rotherham are three games adrift counting us and possibly Watford bit of a dilemma for the EFL.
How many players do we have likely to be away on international duty ?
Just looked at the international break period and there’s thirteen days between the scheduled fixtures from March 20th. to April 2nd that’s Good Friday, so there’s enough days there to fit two games in the only issue is if clubs have players away on international duty they could be disadvantaged...
Well if that’s the case it’s a massive own goal I reckon this fixture pile up will seal their fate they ain’t good enough to play this amount of catch up successfully in two months, I hope the Watford game is off too.
You keep going on about points deduction why would that happen ? This outbreak they have will have been spread probably by one person fourteen days ago
No surprise with our match being called off, not too bothered either, gives us a bit of a welcome breather, Godden longer to get fitter DaCosta too and still be 6 points ahead and they have Brum to play.
Having a full fit squad at this stage of the season doesn’t get much better after some of...
Interesting list could make a bloody good team from that lot and likelihood of players at premier clubs being added.
The real interesting thing though will be wages i reckon the cloth will be cut and the days of contracts worth thousands a week will be a thing of the past.
When we brought him back we had main men like Kelly, Dabo, Rose, Walker, Godden injured with no dates on their return reducing our match day squad, he had to come back imo.
Been reading about this and I don’t think any of the affected players will be able to play but i think the EFL will be saying our fixture will go ahead with the unaffected players available.
