To those who want Robins gone now

I have supported the Sky Blues for over 60 years and we have had a lot - and I mean a lot - of managers in that time. If asked to choose who has been our best manager in that time I would say it’s a toss-up between Mark Robins and Jimmy Hill. I would actually give the award to MR because (a)...

    Kitching vs Binks

You make some good points but I think he will come good. Goalkeeper is one of those positions where confidence and experience count for a lot and obviously at his age he doesn’t have a huge amount of experience.

    Kitching vs Binks

I sometimes wonder if Binks would be better as a holding/defensive midfielder in front of the back line. It’s just a thought and we will never know unless MR tries him in that role.

Play as we did against Spurs and we will get a result. I predict a 1-2 win. Play as we did against Swansea and it’s 4-1 to Leeds.

    Goal Analysis

All true but I want to strike a more positive note. So all I will say is that you have a nice fireplace 👍

    Ephron Mason-Clark

Give the lad time. It’s far too early to judge him yet. I still think that there is a fair chance that he will come good.

Transfer Rumour Raphael Borges Rodriguez signs for Coventry

Nowt wrong with having the stamina of a 60 year old. I wish I had. I suppose that’s because I will be 70 in a few months. 😊

I am of Welsh extraction but I was born in Coventry and have supported them for 63 years. I don’t speak Welsh 😊

Yet score two to win this - which admittedly looks unlikely- and we are only two points off the playoffs.

Our bench is really strong. I wouldn’t have regarded it as the end of the world if all nine had started. It’s not that long ago that our bench would have included two goalkeepers and three kids. 👍

Thanks for that. I started supporting the Sky Blues, as a kid, in the early 1960s and I didn’t miss a home game for 12 years until I went away to university. I reckon I must have seen virtually all of his appearances for us at Highfield Road, possibly every single one. Seeing him on the right...

    Surely fucking not

I get that but we did play very well on Wednesday, so I am hopeful. We will be in trouble though if Eccles or Rudoni get injured before Sheaf is fit.

    Bertie Hound vs Simms

Woooooah! Let's not weigh him down with the weight of expectation. That's quite some claim because Gykores is one of the best strikers in Europe and in my opinion easily in the top ten in the world. All that said, I too am excited by his potential. Credit to our recruitment team not only for...

    Josh eccles

Sheaf and Eccles in midfield with Rudoni just ahead of them is a very good midfield for the Championship. We don’t lack quality in midfield, just depth, although I do think that Torp shows a lot of promise and Bassette and BT-A have the makings of good attacking midfielders if MR wants to play...

    Rudoni …?

I think Rudoni could turn out to be every bit as good as O’Hare if not better.

Match Thread Coventry City - Tottenham Hotspur [LC] Match Thread - Wednesday 18th Sep

I thought that as a team we were excellent tonight. If we can consistently keep up that level of performance then I would expect us to be in the playoffs at the end of the season.
