Leaving aside the arguments, it seems to me that LB/LWB is by far the most important position to strengthen in the squad. People constantly talk about CM/CB/RB, but I reckon if we’d had a quick tough marauding left back to balance MVE on the other side we’d have looked twice the team this season...

I actually think it was probably the majority view at the time. Personally I always thought from the start he was just what we'd needed for quite a few years. I'm not going to claim I saw a world beater in him though.

That's how long the new coaching team had been in place. The meltdown was silly IMO.

Your 'Time's up' thread after 10 league games said 'Time for a new manager before it's too late'. To me, that was when people started getting hysterical. The new guy is going to need more patience and perspective than that, and let's hope he gets it.
