    Captaincy?

The captain is usually someone in the middle of the pitch so they can see what's happening. My guess is James or Hamer.

In which case, I apologise for posting it. I must say, there is nothing I admire more than a disinterested mind. My mistake, sorry again.

I just thought you might be interested... there's no need to get snarky.

There's lots of stories about this song - it's full of metaphor but it's basically a polemic against Waters. When REM played a gig some years back, Waters went back stage and was ignored by Michael Stipe, who then came out for an encore alone and played it to let Waters know what he thought of...

You should have prefixed your reply with the word 'statement' really.

I think Waters is a Grade A wanker. This is the song that Syd wrote about the betrayal:

    Rats under shed

We have a rat issue every winter due to all the birds we keep. The council rat man was useless - charged £60 or so and ended before they were all killed. So I started baiting myself. You need the strongest bait to beat them - the weak stuff doesn't work. A couple of years ago they changed...

    Hickman

The young of today are stupid; arrogant; intelligent; passionate; humble; apathetic... Just as we were. Jak is not the youth of today - he's just Jak. And a knob. I believe that If he had been born in the 1960s at his age he'd have called women 'birds'; driven a souped-up hatch-back; died...

As thick as pudding. He's saying the right words but his attitude and demeanour say otherwise. Still putting on the gangsta accent and occasionally his real accent slips through. He's not grown up yet.

    Richard Keogh

He may be innocent of that but he's done something else. Poured creosote on a worm; tampered with the perfume bottles in Boots; played backgammon in a library... there's bound to be something.

    James Maddison

I think that's the best interview given by a footballer I have ever seen. None of the cliché-ridden monosyllabic tosh you usually get and giving viewers a real insight into what they were doing. He's already better than the ex-pro analysts paid to sit in a studio and chat.

Great performance to draw the last 10 minutes when down to 10 men. Something to build on.

Anyone else fed up, what's your story?

Tarragon isn't in the list of valid reasons. If, on the other hand, you had doubts about your eyesight, you'd be good to go.
