Announcement on Ricoh future today - The Coventry Building Society Arena

That was really around my line of thinking...possibly a five to ten year window to see what happens.

Announcement on Ricoh future today - The Coventry Building Society Arena

Sorry Pete, like Duffer im one of those that will never forgive or forget. I have no time for those involved, the underhand way it all happened still stinks to high heaven, and the collusion that leaves our football club at the mercy of a Rugby Franchise for its foreseeable future is shocking...

Relegation final stretch , who will stay up

Keep him doing it! I was talking to my son about City, and he was asking what league we were in when he was born. He's 20 now, and we were just about to go down from the Premier League when he was born. 20 years its been, what a sobering thought......where the hell has that time gone!

John fleck ...did he mean it

He meant it. Nasty and sly, definite red card.

    Peterborough

Totally agree. SBT in a nutshell arguing the toss over a striker who left two years ago, and is being promoted to the league we have been in for a season more.

    Best feeling ever?

I feel privileged to have attended the 87 cup final with my dad when I was 16. An unforgettable day, the best feeling ever. I was also blessed to have attended the Checkatrade final with my kids. The poignancy of attending that my final with my son who was 16, the same age I went to Wembley with...

    Wasps downward spiral...

I can’t see them getting many fans next season. People have found other things to do, there isn’t the loyalty to the club that a genuine city team has, and now their results are crap. There also seems to have been a drop in interest in the game, partly COVID driven, partly some very negative...

    Do you consider us safe?

Thanks Frostie. It’s fine lines, if half those attempts that hit the woodwork had gone in, we would be a lot healthier position.

    Do you consider us safe?

I did wonder how many penalties and own goals we had given away this season in comparison to other teams, and at the other end how many times we hit the woodwork.

Did these players really feature for us.

Bailey was on loan from derby (IIRC) He looked accomplished at the start but I think he faded a bit. Jennings came from Motherwell, had a season with us, then was moved on.. Carl Dickinson...I havent a clue!

    Lost the Dressing Room

I don’t think G asking questions about the managers decisions makes him any less a Coventry fan than the rest of us. I don’t agree with them all but a few are very valid, people may disagree but isn’t having your own view and opinion what being a fan is about. I don’t post on here much...

    Big sky blue news tomorrow

Sorry but thats rubbish, Wasps were in north London (Hampstead/Ealing) for the first 50 years, then 73 years in Sudbury. Is 73 years not long enough for you to embed in a local community then? I mean 8 years and 73 are nearly comparable!

    Feb 27th 1999

Happy 60th Birthday BN! Hope you have a great day. Whilst I’m ten years your junior, on the theme of where have the years gone, whilst both you, me and several thousand others were at that game and loving the result, we also saw the first team debut of Gary McSheffrey that day. So just to make...

What was your favourite ever season watching city in the league

86-87 for me. Had been a season ticket holder as a kid from 80-81, but had gone to plenty of games prior to that but not enough to have really seen all the best of Yorath, Hutchison, Wallace and Ferguson. I enjoyed the 86-87 season as it was the first for several years we played like a team...
