The problem with Wembley is paying for a ticket and not being able to see, which is what happens in the lower tier behind the goal when everyone stands up.
Don't worry, my mate in the ticket office says we've completely sold out Wembley with 90,000 Cov fans but they're building another tier before the final to accommodate another 40,000.
This thread title sums up one of the main problems we have. There is no board leadership. In a recent conversation I had with someone (who shall I just say used to be involved) he described the club as a rudderless ship, with no one who knows anything about running a football club making the...
Sisu Out T shirts. Thousands of them. Sky Blue all round the ground but with SISU Out everywhere too. An alternative to giving the club your money as they cash in on merch sales.
More likely than not it will be down to the use of lighting rigs to stimulate grass growth. Clubs who have money to throw at these things use them all the time and have a near perfect surface for most of the season.
Disagree a bit about the half and half scarves. They should never be worn but they're a good souvenir of the day for the kids' bedroom wall. The tip at Wembley is not to buy one on the way in ( usually rip off price) but haggle with the street sellers on the way out as they'll bin them afterwards.
Yeah sorry about that. Taken me thirty years to confess but the loos were downstairs and I knew I wouldn't be allowed back up otherwise. Bet it wasn't just me though.
Will be proudly taking two sons and a daughter with a tear in my eye. All three have stuck with It and still call themselves City fans despite the crap and peer pressure. (Youngest plays academy football for a club we don't like to mention. Gets a lot of stick but still wears a bit of Sky Blue...
It was great to see so many people smiling as we walked away from the ground. Struck me that probably the majority have very little memory of '87. Let's face it, there weren't many ten year olds at Wembley that day; if you were lucky enough to get hold of a ticket chances are your Dad went not...
Just noticed that the semi final is not over two legs this year, but a single game at the home of the first team drawn...
BUT anyway, can we now ban any more talk of Wembley so as not to upset the Football Gods. - Remember Crewe? People were booking hotels weren't they? No talk of ticket...
I can see this being a repeat of the Ricoh saga;
"Of course you can train here, we're not throwing you out. It will cost you this much."
Response; "That's too much, we're not paying that" blah blah etc etc...
