    Football Manager

My first foray into the newest one (Xbox version) just ended in sacking in season three, 14th in championship. Followed a takeover by a local businessman who gave me fuck all extra to spend. I’ve just taken the Hull job (22nd) with 15 games to go but have lost the desire now tbh. Might start...

You’re quite right on a number of things mate and I have encouraged her to go the doctors and see if she can get signed off as unfit for work but she won’t get on board (yet). It’s hard to explain how she is but I’m pretty sure that if she was a child now she’d be diagnosed on the autistic...

Having never claimed I’m not 100% on the process. But, as far as I can gather, all she’s entitled to is JSA (or it’s universal credit equivalent). And to be eligible I believe you have to see a work coach every other week, take any job they find for you and prove you’re spending most of your...

Cheers. Toilet reading for tomorrow 👍🏻 The whole purpose of potentially taking this option is to avoid having to claim benefits and get her through to state pension. She did ask if we wanted a lodger in our new house at the end of the month……:

Cheers lads. Just got back she’s not in a good way. Not sure moving is gonna do her much good mentally. Have agreed she will have a think and we will have a no pressure/commitment chat with Saga next week RE equity release and also get house valued. As far as I can see the only people to lose...

Has anyone any experience of this? My father in law passed away a couple of months ago and my mother in law (60 years old so not able to draw state pension) is in a bit of a pickle. He left enough cash to last probably until Christmas but after that the cupboard is bare. She’s never worked a...

    Tim Westwood

Yep, sex pest. But the survivors in it stopped short of accusing him of rape in the legal sense iirc. This is different given the poor girl’s age and I suspect the beginning of the end for him (hopefully).

    Incoming! - Callum Doyle

If we’re gonna sign a teenager on loan then an England youth international who could be turning out for potentially the best team in the world in a few years is the one to get. Could come on quite a bit from last season under better management in a footballing side based on his stats so let’s see.

    Things that annoy you

A whole 20 minutes devoted to staying safe in the heat on the lunchtime news. Interview with the Met Office who had some sterling advice. But for that I wouldn’t have thought to drink water and was actually about to wheel my Nan out into the street and leave her in the sun.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Maybe I have worked in a boring industry all my adult life, or perhaps I’m just sheltered from it. But other than the occasional bit of extra martial slap and tickle between probably 2% of the staff I’ve worked alongside every workplace has been pretty vanilla. Whereas in politics it almost...

Every time. And can I add literally any food packaging labelled with the instruction to “peel back film lid”. It NEVER peels back and you will inevitably have to hack off said film lid with a knife.

Personally find the abuse he’s giving his own family in public uncomfortable, particularly given his legal troubles at home. Wouldn’t want my daughter dating him!!

After some really superb tennis he’s now resorted to ranting and raving at the officials, crowd and his own family. He is a twat.

    As it stands

RE Dabo, he is routinely a standout performer whenever he gets a run of games and up to full match fitness. His patchy form always corresponds with coming back from injury. If he stays fit he’s a quality RWB at this level.

    As it stands

Unless Palmer has 15 goals a season in him Vik and Godden up top together should be plan A for me. Definitely against a newly promoted side.
