Its odd they have short memories as have been nearly fekked like us a few times over the last twenty years or so.
They have an overwhelming chip on their shoulder re Wednesday, and I have first hand knowledge of living there and seeing it. They are brought up with a fair amount of hatred re...
Its flattering that they feel so pathetically about us.
We have always been aligned with Wednesday and have a good relationship with them, just not the thick side of Sheffield, and I can say that with experience having lived on the Blades side of town for a few years in the 90's.
Fuck um.
That really sums it up.
I was chatting to my son at the end and he was saying how much more we appreciate it than the big clubs who go every season and win everything. This really meant something to us all, and it was fantastic.
Your description of the noise and the look on the kids face really sums it up for me Bumberclart.
My son is 16 now and like most of 16 year olds is rarely off his phone or shows great interest in much. He absolutely loved it, the look on his face when we went to our seats was a picture and both...
Thought Stokes had an absolute cracker today, especially considering he had been out for so long. I agree its essential we keep him for next season.
Thought Turnbull also had a good game, and as I have felt before think we still lack steel in midfield.
Fucking awesome day!
Great drive down and back, trains to and from Beaconsfield brilliant. City fans unbelievable in their numbers and support, my kids loved it and love CCFC, and what a game and atmosphere and result. Absolutely loved it!
Phew that's a relief, I have had a look at the Timetable and it appears all direct, so I should be ok at Beaconsfield or Wycombe. Still I will probably be spotted by some disgruntled Wycombe fan who will have put in the car windows by the time I get back from the game
They only don't want ruck sacks as it involves a more time consuming search and I suppose they are just trying to discourage as it delays hold ups at the turnstiles but also makes it easier for stewards. I am taking one as my kids cant be expected to carry anything as they cant possibly do...
I am outraged that no one from The Anglo Scottish Cup team that played St Mirren in 1988 has been invited. Not even a storm in a tea cup more like a fucking thimble.
No they are keeping the two routes separate. Warwick Parkway goes through Banbury and Bicester but no stops at Oxford. Chiltern seem to have done a good job and planned ahead. Shame Virgin couldn't do the same.
Bloody hell I hope there isn't a change at Beaconsfield. I'm driving there on Sunday and getting the train in direct, as there and back the trains start/end at Wycombe and so I thought they would be pretty empty. If the station is now going to be rammed with Oxford fans I may have to change my...
Read the post and thought I might be coming across as a bit of a ' I can down it all and never get pissed, proper drinking hard boy giving it large' type person. Chance would be a fine thing, but age and responsibilities has slowed me down a lot ;)
