    Centre Halves scoring goals

Anyone remember how George Curtis used to come thundering into the penalty box for corners, shoving all and sundry out of the way to get to the ball ? Fadz, scored a good goal, but not a patch on big George....

    Item Coventry Blitz

I was born in 1942 and can remember the carnage left by the blitz as a young boy and the temporary shops and water reservoirs in Corporation Street

Request to waive NDA - email to Wasps, CCFC & Sisu

All Wasps have to do is to produce a separate legal document specifically detailing that they not require SISU to indemnify them.

    Boddy Update

Question. Are we now going to put the past behind us and back SISU, Mark Robbins and the team to the hilt or live in the past ? Yes, SISU f*c*ed up big time, but over the past three years have proven to be responsible owners, backing CCFC and putting the club on a better financial footing ( far...

    Wasps Statement

I should imagine that Wasps are now in panic mode, having relied upon an agreement with CCFC. In my opinion, SISU have played a blinder in calling Wasp's bluff. If this results in Wasps going busy and leaving the Ricoh, so much the better. Over the past 2 or 3 years SISU have backed the club...

The same issues could relate to Food and Drink etc.. Why assume the indemnity is the stumbling block ?

    Transfer Rumour Marcel Hilsner

Bit like when we signed an unknown full back from Wealdstone, then in the top flight... his name ? Stuart Pearce ! Bobby Gould had a knack of signing unknown players from the lower leagues. Our recruiting team have been watching him for 6 months.

Time to draw a line ?

Is it time to draw a line under Sisu's record and now accept that, over the post 3 years, Sisu have been responsible owners and owners many league clubs would envy ? Sound management, supportive management, ambitious owners and a desire to make amends from all mistakes made. Yes, in the past...

    Ricoh Lease...

Just wondering if Wasps could sell the lease to pay off it's debt ? I assume that all leases are transferable ? It would be amusing if Wasps sold the lease to Sisu and the present situation was reversed with Wasps renting the Ricoh from Sisu. It would be interesting to see how much the lease is...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Who do you want to win the play offs ? Pompey who, due to poor owners, found themselves in the leagues lower depths and had to be rescued by fans and is now in fan ownership ? Wycombe or Fleetwood who are minnows performing well above their weight or Oxford, a footballing team and another local...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

So, nothing has changed. The vote is still PPG or play on. If 51% vote to embed PPG into regulations on June 8th ( all 71 clubs vote) then League 1 will vote on June 11th. There are no further choices... PPG or play on, 51% decide.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

The benefits of Wycombe Oxford Fleetwood and Portsmouth voting for PPG are revenue from Sky and payments reflecting their position they finished in the league. Not sure how much they get from finishing 4 - 6. Surely they won't risk losing income by voting to play on.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

What are the supporters of Wycombe, Oxford, Portsmouth and Fleetwood saying on their forums ? I think their views will go a long way in these four guaranteed a play off place under PPG in which way they vote.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

As someone who watched CCFC rise up from Division 3 (South) and the old Division 4, experiencing the entire Jimmy Hill era and 34 years unbroken time in the top flight, I enjoyed the top flight even though we struggled most seasons. Every game allowed me to see the top teams and international...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Under PPG I think the 4 teams guaranteed a play off place will now vote to end the season, leaving only Posh, Ipswich, possibly Tranmere, and Sunderland voting to play on.
