    Specials new album

Anyone heard it? The single has been on radio 6 a few times and I briefly listened to a few tracks - but I have to say I found it poor.

Economic Left/Right: 1.0 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.85 Pretty much the same result as last time I did one of these tests.

Judging players against their own potential, rather than performance. Burge 7 - so he failed to stop a header... he had the gumption to at least pretend that he'd been fouled. Distribution, as ever, shite. Sterling 4 - have we taken this kid backwards? Willis 7 - I really rate Willis and I...

    Breaking- New Consortium Bid

One would have to assume that this plays little part in the decision to hold onto the club. When valuing an asset one has to look at potential future P/L, not historic cost. I imagine (but don't know, clearly) that SISU think: 1) Continuing to hold CCFC strengthens their hand in compensation...

    Video Peterborough v Coventry

By the time he swung at it, it was at waist height - falling over Thomas's head. Thomas had already won the ball - appalling play.

    Video Peterborough v Coventry

Extended highlights now available from the official Twitter page. The Thomas incident looks even worse than I remember it. Lee Tomlin kicks very high from behind without any chance of getting the ball. Very reckless and dangerous play: the EFL needs to take a look at this and take appropriate...

Burge 2 - failed when questioned and distribution as ever terrible. Sterling 5 - I thought he was poor today. Willis 8 - performed well I thought, taking responsibility often. Davies 6 Mason 5 - would be interesting to see his pass-completion stats, must be close to 0% Kelly 7 Bayliss 7 Hiwula...

I didn't go, or watch the game on stream, or listen to it on the radio. I didn't even glance at the updates on the BBC website: Burge 7 - not much to do Sterling 7.5 - an extra point for the bicycle kick - the first bicycle kick I've ever imagined from just inside our own half whilst under no...

    Stockdale/Burge

I think you are all being quite unrealistic in your expectations for our regular keeper. The quality of players we have for any extended period is going to be lower across the board given the league in which we play and the wages we pay. However you won't necessarily notice that in all...

    Scunthorpe Away - Time's Up

... "Save breed, to brave him when he takes thee hence. " So you're suggesting that the team should forget footy and focus on procreation?

Agree Nick, Doyle is no replacement for Kelly when he's playing as he has been last few games. What makes it worse is that Doyle demands the ball and then does nothing with it. Even Sterling was poor today. 5 all round except Doyle who gets a 4 and Hyam who gets 7.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I'm glad to see that you haven't become less monotonically negative and miserable whilst I've been away, Tony. There is poverty everywhere - every single country. And I already pointed out exactly the same point when quoting the Gini Coefficient (because poverty = inequality, they are both...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Singapore has fantastic infrastructure; have been there many times for work - it's immaculate. However many people find it soulless. An old boss of mine, who used to run a branch in Singapore described it as being like Disneyland without the rides. I suspect that the penal system; the...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Completely agree. It blows my mind that so many people are so bloody certain about everything - often very complex issues of which they have only the slightest understanding. I respect people who understand that their knowledge and beliefs are limited and they may be wrong.

You are stuck in the mindset that we need a large state redistributing money constantly between those that create wealth and those that do not. Singapore's model is to attract business, which creates jobs. Coupled with lower immigration this creates a demand for workers and pay rises. The...

I agree that double is a bit generous. But look at the rates. A grad in maths isn't likely to want to start on £23,700. When I left I was Head of IT in the school as well, so I had an incentive allowance. I left to become a graduate trainee computer programmer (so everyone else in my intake...

I used to be a maths teacher, many years ago in a comprehensive. I also did a bit of English and Drama teaching (my degree is maths but my passion is literature). Some years later (although still a long time ago now) I was out of work for a few months and did some supply work in another...

Thank you for asking, I'm fine but avoiding interactions on social media more nowadays. Hope you too are well. My point is that banning public schools has a negative effect on comprehensive education. Adding massive money for teacher salaries would improve comprehensive education but not...
