In the 15 mins he had today Chaplin got into some good positions - that of a natural striker. A slight better cross or run of ball he would have been in. Keeper also made a good stop to deny him. A bit like Baka, a shot of confidence and that could be a good pairing.

Leon Clarke would be an absolute cracking loan. Team needs a focal point who has ability to bring others into play. Clarke and Chaplin sounds great.

Did Chaplin play up alongside Hiwula today? Good assist. Love to see him grab a couple of scruffy goals. I do think him playing deep ever since he's arrived has been direction from MR to find space.

Agrred he seems better when he doesn't have too much time to think on it. Muscular and awkward for defenders but not good enough in air or at finishing it seems. If he was good at either one of those it would be easier to pick a strike partner for him.

Even from the other side of the pitch you could see the movement in his knee was not natural in the way he twisted. Hoping he didn't twist it far enough for severe damage. Really hope it's good news for the lad. Seems such a hard worker and obviously loves the game.
