    Player Ratings

For a variety of reasons I rarely get to see the Sky Blues although I've been a fan since the 4th Division days. Things that impressed me today were Everybody put a shift in The defence, with the exception of Stirling, looked pretty secure (and yes, I'm including Burge in that) The strength on...

Is L1 too big a jump?

I certainly think L1 is too big a jump for some of our fans who haven't upped their game at all - 4 league games gone and they're into meltdown. 13 new signings and playing in a higher league means it will inevitably take us time to settle down. At this point last season we had just suffered...

Lack of investment in playing squad

The strike rate for those 5 players taken together is less than 1 in every 4 games, so 11 goals in a full season. What's so great about that?

    Team v Scunthorpe

So we look to have a squad of 22 players from which to pick the 18 needed. Burge O'Brien Grimmer Brown Sterling Mason Willis Davies Hyam McDonald Doyle Kelly Ogogo Jones Bayliss Shipley Vincenti Westbrooke Andreu Biamou Clark-Harris Ponticelli and that's not allowing for any youngsters or...

Me too. Do those who felt otherwise really feel as gutted today as they would have done if we'd lost to Exeter?

    In The Times today

As the OP, I apologise for being pathetic, ignorant and small-minded. I don't know CJ and I simply couldn't relate to anyone who thought that England winning the World Cup was more important than our getting out of League 2. Although the comments suggest that I'm in the majority, there are...

    In The Times today

Isn't the real measure of this - how gutted you'd feel if they lost. If England lost the World Cup semi-final or final I'd get over it in 24 or 48 hours. If the Sky Blues had lost at Wembley I'd never have gotten over it.

    In The Times today

In The Times today a Coventry City fan, identified as CJ, who is at the World Cup is quoted as saying 'For me, this is better than when we won at Wembley and got our first promotion since 1967'. He can't be a real fan, can he?

For some reason we did extend our season by over 3 weeks.

Did Stevenson really score twice? One against West Brom in the Checkatrade, and the other?

    Odelusi

Odelusi has just signed for Halifax Town and my mate, who's a Town fan, asked me what he was like at Coventry. Any views?

    Biamou Bets SBT vs Grendel

Just for the record only McNulty and Adam Armstrong have achieved 10 league goals or more in the last 4 seasons. And Grendel didn't include the 'or more'. So careful.

    Retained List

This isn't an issue between you and us. It's between you and our beloved manager. He's just announced a retained list of 28 players and you seem to feel that one of them is much worse than the rest. How come you know better than Mark Robins?
  17. Gosb

    Retained List

Yes, People are very selective. I think McNulty's achievements have blinded you to what our strikers normally achieve. Biamou scored as many goals as our leading goal scorer last season (Thomas on 9), one less than our second highest goal scorer in the season before that (Murphy on 10) and more...

    Sympathy for Shrewsbury & Exeter.

Interesting that on their big day Exeter and Shrewsbury (and Aston Villa) just didn't show up. It's rather like the exam at the end of the course work, and you have to be able to handle both. Fortunately we did.
