Why Didn't We Sign Chris Marsden in 1994?

Mate, he was too clever for HIMSELF! Andy Gray pointed a couple of times when he could have passed or shot for an opportunity but instead took too many fancy touches and it was cleared/taken off him. That said, he was brilliant when it came off, and in his early period at City it did more often...

Tayo Adaramola First Words - CONFIRMED Signing!

Looks good, much better balance & depth on the left now. Should be the ideal replacement for Maatsen.

Why Didn't We Sign Chris Marsden in 1994?

OK I've finished watching Coventry murder Swindon 1-1 in 1994. Bastard Swindon last minute Andy Mutch equaliser, we were all over them but didn't take our chances! Marsden was as good as I remember him & people's points about his strengths are absolutely spot on. He also made 4-5 good ball...

Why Didn't We Sign Chris Marsden in 1994?

I don't know about anger, but 4 games(!), all as sub, all defeats: QPR (H) 0-1, Swindon (A) 1-3, Newcastle (A) 0-4, QPR (H) 0-1. You can't blame him for all of that of course, but it was just 1-0 when he came on against Newcastle, 0-0 the second QPR game and 1-2 against Swindon. I don't remember...

Why Didn't We Sign Chris Marsden in 1994?

Huddersfield rather than Stockport (he joined Stockport in 96 and rehabilitated his career), but yeah, just 8 games at Wolves and 10 in a spell at Notts C were what followed in the three years after that Swindon match.

Why Didn't We Sign Chris Marsden in 1994?

OK this is doing my nut in now and it needs its own nostalgic thread. Here's my thought's from the Julian Darby thread (what a world...): Chris Marsden looked unfathomably brilliant to me in his loan spell. Does anyone have any concrete or otherwise reason/rumours for him not signing? I thought...

Chris Marsden looked unfathomably brilliant to me in his loan spell. Does anyone have any concrete or otherwise reason/rumours for him not signing? I thought he was class against Swindon-OK it's just Swindon-just found the full match online and in the intro, Keys says "Chris Marsden was MOM in...

What is Jack Burrough's best position?

What about the Cricket Test, though? No, not the Tory one from the 80's (or "now" in Scotland), but rather: is he one of those weirdos who bats with one hand but bowls with the other??!

Flynn/Boland/Darby, what a midfield! But West Ham's side was as shit as ours, it's just the pre-money era. Great touch by Wegerle for the goal...

    Back in the day

Matt Le Tissier also called him the fittest player he'd ever played with, so good stamina/works hard + does what he's told = strengths that managers like that fans don't always see? Especially back then-nowadays there would be graphs galore showing his ground covered etc. He was a crap passer...

And the fans of those club too now I think of it, only they'd do it in a Hot Fuzz accent. All 7 of them.

    Fabio Tavares Signs New Deal

Hee hee, he bloody bullied Scott Dann when we thought he was great! Taught the lad a lesson that night.

    Fabio Tavares Signs New Deal

From the limited bits I've seen of preseason, he sure looks very confident. Good look to the lad, he's improving all the time.

Presume that would be what she means as they run our old ladies team now? Either way, good on her!

City Fan at England Women's Game

Did anyone see the reports on Sky Sports last night after the England-Spain match? They interviewed a couple of fans and one young girl said "When I grow up, I want to play for England." She paused a bit, and then frantically added "OR COVENTRY!" Firstly, if anyone's the girls dad do pass on...
