Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

Wasps had other options but theybwere entitled to move here and did so. We went to Sixfields solely to bankrupt ACL, which is why I opposed the move alobg with other fans. If we genuinely had no other choice most fans including me would have supported to move to Northampton. But we CHOSE to...

Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

Eh? Of course I'm dispassionate. Supporring a football team doesn't mean I should support their owners tearing up a valid lease. Loyalty to a football team doesn't and shouldn't blind us wrongs when we see them such as deliberately trying to bankrupt ACL. But then you think Watford is in...

Back in your box, see above. The fact is they own the Ricoh fair and square and have every moral right to do so. Serves us right for trying to screw the council once they'd delivered their end of the Ricoh bargain.

But they did so as their designated home ground not as a neutral venue. More examples, OK. London Irish moved from Sunbury to share the Madesjki in Reading. Sale left their old ground at first spent a decade playing in Stockport before moving to Salford. Sarascens left their old ground and...

Is that meant to mean I'm a glory hunter? Don't know how to start LOLing at that one. I've been watching CCFC for 10 years....how long deforestation my opinion counts for something?

Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

To be fair, I don't see any inconsistency with opposing our move to Sixfields, or more to the point, the Wimbleon move to MK, whilst being OK with Wasps moving to Coventry; I don't see the two situations as being the same. In our case, it was clear that the move was soley to provide another home...

Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

I agree. As much as I don't have any interest in watching Wasps, I wouldn't criticise anyone else for doing so and some of the comments slagging off people for watching a sports match of their choice, is just embarrassing.

Where was that, the 99p store? Why anyone thinks that Willis can be deployed at RB is beyond me. His performances there, particularly Orient away under SP, make my skin crawl with the anticipation of impending doom. As for our club's predilection for putting a striker on the wing, our club...

    How much would you spend?

On this topic, me the Mrs are thinking of bringing her sister to the Lincoln home game. The sister isn't a football person at all but would go to the odd game if it was an enjoyable social, a bit like your occasional theatre visit. She'd probably enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine, plus a bit of...

    Vale hooligans

Please can you correct yourself there - I am from the area originally and most of the people I know there have hearts of gold. The people of the Potteries are genuinely some of the friendliest, kindliest, good-hearted people you can meet anywhere. OK it's not a wealthy place and it doesn't look...

We were 4th before kickoff, 2 weeks ago there were those discussing the manager's future....now we're crap apparently.

Without dipping into the match thread, how did he get on? I see he was subbed off for the Duck, assume he didn't pick up an injury? Another game without him getting a goal.......did he "work hard"?

Still, the best bet about away games is the pre-match pub socialising and we did plenty of that so in a way got the best of both worlds, especially as had to drive from Lincoln to Cheshire this morning and was thus literally driving within sight of Vale Park / Burslem anyway.

Well today is a first out of the many many away games i've done. Went with the mrs who isn't much of a football fan and who hadn't been keen on the concept of spending Boxing Day at Vale Park. Drove over and she was feeling unwell, we went to the pre match pub and met loads of Cov lads including...

Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike rugby, or people who watch it, or even Wasps. I've said elsewhere I don't have a problem with their ownership of the Ricoh or the way that came about. It's just that I personally have no interest at all in going, and wanted to see who else on here feels...

Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

(stands up) For all that I'm clear all the blame for our plight falls at the door of CCFC owners past and present, I'm also never going to watch Wasps. The only time I saw them play was in the Premiership final in 2008, long before the current fiasco kicked off when I got a freebie Twickenham...
