    Ding ding - round 2

OK so can someone explain something to me without this turning into yet another "SISU arse licker / council lover" slanging match ......what is the point of tomorrow's preliminary hearing? Sounds like the real action will take place at the start of May. I don't understand from that article...

or higher than that £340K once you add in the cup games into the required average gate. Once you add that we may have gone over budget as well signing Andreu (bit of speculation from me, there) then the £750k shortfall doesn't seem too unrealistic.

    Port Vale - Boxing Day

Oi, less of that lads, I'm from round that neck of the woods! You don't see me coming on here slagging off Cov! Thes Mrs is joining me for this one (maybe!). We will have Xmas day at home in Lincoln then next day drive over to my mum's who lives up the road from Vale Park. Mrs Oucho will have...

Both ends are pretty much closed, as are two corners, but that's still 6k people rattling round in 18k or so of seating.

    Ricoh deal done?

I'm not saying it's true, just passing on what I heard. Indeed you would think that 9500 gates all season would be optimistic, but then we're talking about a chairman who thought we'd get 7k at Northampton. We've made losses of far more than £750k before now so it doesn't necessarily sound...

    Ricoh deal done?

It's that vicious cycle again. I for one believe nothing much will come of this, other than us trying to offload players to close the budget gap. If they can't do that, they'll just have to plug the funding shortfall....they might do that by cutting the budget next season, but that would...

    Ricoh deal done?

I wouldn't overly worry about Borehamwood....I'd be more worried about pulling out a rubbish tie like Hartlepool away or something (no disrespect and I don't know if they're even still in it). The second comment is based on the position some time ago of "we want to run at break even, the club...

Well there is more to it than that. I've been to 7 away games but that's probably less than half of them. There's only a hardcore of 100-200 who go to all away games, otherwise people will come and go.

    Ricoh deal done?

Another rumour I heard at Stevenage is that the club is projected to fall £750k short of expected revenue targets by the end of January, and SISU are not wanting to plug more money in. Therefore, we either raise this money through player sales or we stop paying our bills if we are to keep going...

    Ricoh deal done?

Nearly spat my breakfast tea on when reading that one....60 quid for a plastic seat? I was thinking 6 quid would ve expensive....

    Ricoh deal done?

I was thinking that it might be cheaper for Wasps to respray the current seats with black paint rather than replace them. So in that scenario you wouldn't keep the seats as they'd still be in situ at thr Ricoh. Either way, I agree with Grendel that it won't happen....too much money, no payback.

    Ricoh deal done?

I don't see why Wasps would need our consent? Legally it's not anything to do with us.

    Where have you heard this?

    Ricoh deal done?

I was just asking if anyone thinks there could be a penalty for us walking away, and if so what it might be. Just because it's a shorter and less valuable lease doesn't mean Sisu wouldn't consider walking away from the lease if it was in their interests.

    Ricoh deal done?

Not sure what your point is, but the old lease was 50 years IIRC so hardly an apples with apples comparison.

    Ricoh deal done?

I doubt Wasps would change the seats. It would cost a fortune and they're losing money as it is. It is just an additional cost with zero payback for them. I wonder if there will be a penalty clause if Sisu decide to stop paying the rent again. If not, what is there to stop them from going...

    Ricoh deal done?

What's your source for this and when do you expect it to be announced?

    Ricoh deal done?

Urgh, yes. I do hope that any deal will be comprehensive i.e. with the court case called off, Wasps providing longer term tenancy for the academy, council easing parking restrictions near the Ricoh, CCFC signing up to a long term deal etc. We need the whole issue sorted for good.
