Latest CCFC letter on planning application - Planning Meeting

This is not "lip service" or the club "clutching at straws" - it is a robust legal argument based on specialist planning advice, in response to previous (belated) correspondence. It's a shame it has probably come too late for this reason to make a difference tomorrow, but it is a national...

    CCFC invited to talk

Yeah, but OSB makes a good point about the club not having responded to the consultation before the required deadline, so the Council weren't under any obligation to allow them to speak.

    CCFC invited to talk

I'm not bothered if the planning application gets approved in a form where our Cat 2 academy can still be accommodated.

    CCFC invited to talk

I don't think it's a special exception. Speaking from personal experience, if you make a representation through your local councillor, for example, he/she should ask if you wish to speak at the planning meeting. And you get your 3 minutes. That's the whole point of a public meeting, I think.

    CCFC invited to talk

The RECOMMENDATION from the planning officer is for the committee to approve the application, but they are not under any obligation to do so, particularly if they hear strong arguments at the public meeting. I know this is "cloud cuckoo land" thinking, but that is the process, and if CCFC want...

    Sporting England / Higgs

OSB, I take your points, which are well-made. However, the absence of the "sufficient information" which they requested 5 weeks ago WOULD be regarded as grounds for objection of the application in its current form.

    Sporting England / Higgs

It is unfortunate that the guy from Sport England didn't have the balls to say "Sport England is a statutory consultee for this application. However, insufficient information has been provided to assess the application against Exception E5 of our policy, despite this information being requested...

Look like we will go with what we have....

There was a professor of sports business from Salford Business School on BBC CWR this morning, who said that due to the restrictions of lower league clubs shelling out more than 60% of their income on wages, and we have no income from stadium revenue, we are mid-table in terms of salary budgets...

Tony Mowbray explainswhy he sold Coventry City fans' favourite Romain Vincelot to Bradford City

All these "undisclosed fees" are bollocks. In what other sphere are limited companies allowed to sell their assets without having to inform their shareholders and publish it in their accounts submitted to Companies House? It's a fucking scandal, and needs to be looked into by the appropriate...

    Simon Gilbert Announcement

Whether he cares or not is hard to say, because he works for an organization that clearly sides with the council, but I sense not!

    Orlando Shootings

They are trying to dress it up as Islamic terrorism (to avoid having to look in the mirror), but the issue is that he was nothing more than a homophobic (mentally-unstable, according to his ex-wife) lunatic, with all-too-easy access to massive arsenals of weaponry at short notice.

    Simon Gilbert Announcement

Maybe he's leaving the Telegraph to go back to college and learn how to conduct investigative journalism, rather than scouring the internet and social media for half-truths and groundless rumours?

Higgs have legal clauses inserted to block CCFC and back Wasps only

Bri, Warwickshire County Council are not the planning authority. You probably mean one of Nuneaton & Bedworth, Rugby, Warwick, Stratford or North Warwickshire District Councils (heaven forbid!)
