    Play Offs

When you started going on about Joe Pigott having signed on loan in 2015, I thought I didn't think he had come here. It was only then that I looked at who the sender was! We don't get many strangers round these parts, but you're welcome nonetheless!

TM Press Conference Today...question about Burton...

When we were at Sixfields under Pressley, many of those who went commented that it was the most attractive attacking free-flowing football they had seen from a City team in all the time they had supported them. Fleck, Thomas, Moussa, Baker, Wilson and Clarke. We ripped teams to shreds for the...

    Mowbray Out

Admittedly, the thing Pressley was criticized for more than anything was not having an effective Plan B. The number of times you see the term "defensive mix-up" when we concede is a real worry for me. That needs shoring up during this transfer window. Ramage didn't look to be able to pull it all...

    The Cov fan

Preferred the slightly later version with Sarah Greene (ex of Blue Peter and Saturday Superstore) doing the action, with the tagline "You've got to magic the beans". Kep me going through my difficult teenage years!!!

    Hunt playing today

U21 update:- 30 - CCFC the better side but struggling in the final third. Hunt's energy down the right providing the biggest threat. But 1-0 down

    Ricoh Arena train station update

I don't know the local geography up there, but I understand that Bermuda Park is near a large housing development, so it is possible that many of the residents will use the station to get into Cov or Nuneaton. It probably WON'T get used as a "parkway" because the car park is so poorly designed...

... provided there are only 75 of you per hour each direction! Pointless!!

    Ricoh Arena train station update

Incidentally Dad, have you ever been to a railway station which is over congested at the end of a sports event, even when there ARE sufficient trains to move people away? If there are no trains (the fault for which lies fairly and squarely at the door of the lack of investment in the railways by...

    Ricoh Arena train station update

Don't talk nonsense! Do you think the EU would have given the money if CCC and others had not applied for it, and JUSTIFIED it??? Easy answer, they wouldn't!

    Ricoh Arena train station update

That's certainly what was being reported back in the Autumn, Dave. No plans to bring back Jimmy Hill's Sky Blue Specials! Maybe the Council weren't banking on us surviving ...!

    No More Walsores

I see that, especially when it relates to South Africa during apartheid, but why do people now call themselves "(wo)men of colour"?

    Singers corner

That's the problem with attracting bigger crowds: the occasionals/newbies don't know where to go, or know the words to the songs, or even how to behave. That is bound to have an impact. The segregation thing will be down to what happens on the concourse: they can't use the staircases that are on...

Not far off stopping in CV6 by the look of it. And very few showers later

    Weather forecast...

Very black over Canley. Looks from the satellite imagery like there's a couple of hours of rain, then maybe showery.

David Bowie and the West End

Maybe I'm just being a grumpy uncaring old bastard, but I just tire of the people who have nothing helpful to add adding it anyway! Agree with the classical thing. Saw the Nutcracker ballet in Brum just before Christmas, and the beauty of the music and the dancing moved me to tears.

David Bowie and the West End

Agree with all that, Otis. What I *don't* get is why people feel the need to lose all self-control and collapse into a blubbering heap of snot when someone they never met dies. These public outpourings of grief never happened until Princess Di carked it, and have only got worse since the advent...

    John Fleck

If Jonjo Shelvey is worth £12 million, as is being widely reported as the sum for him to move from Swansea to Newcastle, SURELY Fleck is worth more than the £500K some of you are suggesting, even if he is unproven at any higher level.
