    Running

Just signed up for the Lisbon Half Marathon in March of next year. Flights and AirBnB booked too, time to up my training. I've done plenty of 10k runs but only 1 slow half marathon (2hrs 9min). The Lisbon course is very flat and should give me an opportunity to go sub 2 hours.

Throw money at it and it and I'm sure it can be done. But sitting here looking at the technical aspect of things, it would be very difficult.

Again, pie in the sky. The infrastructure just isn't there. Within the current exchanges we have, there just isn't the capacity.

Gold Digger on the Beeb. First episode was pretty good. Quite a nice MILF too.

I work in the Telecoms industry and our 2 biggest customers are Openreach and BT. We install and commission fibre optic cables and the associated hardware on the streets and in the Telephone Exchanges. To roll out BB to every household in the UK would take years, if not decades. The cost for the...

I've seen it twice, once on Broadway and the other on The West End. We're off to see it again in January. It's absolutely hilarious!

I watched it on Saturday and thought it was very good. Quite gruesome and pretty harrowing in parts. Dev Patel was excellent.

Saw this last night. Agreed, Brad Pitt was excellent as was Di Caprio. However, it was too long and painfully slow at times. The woman in the seat next to me fell asleep  I wouldn't say the 'spiders web' of stories joined together at all. Pulp Fiction is/was the way to do that. In fact...

    Kitchen

Our new kitchen is from Howdens. We used a local fitter to fit it for us. He also project managed the whole thing, arranging sparkies and floor fitters. Kitchen is great quality, very pleased with it.

    Static caravan

I have one in Aberdovey, it's been in the family for years (not the same van). It does cost a bit to keep it on site, around £1350 a year ground rent, £250 a year for insurance and £100 a year for electricity and around the same for water. Some sites include electric and water in the ground...

    Old expressions your parents/grandparents used

If I used to turn up at my Nan's house in a T-shirt and it wasn't 80+ outside she'd say I'd catch my death. My Dad used to comment on crap players (usually ours) saying they were 'Good off the ball' or they 'Couldn't trap a bag of cement'

He said he'd worked in IT for 40 years. With my basic A level Maths, that makes it circa 1979, not 1952. However, I do have to agree with your statement regarding women in software/programminhg roles. I work for a Telecoms company. I work in software development. There are 36 of us poor souls...
