Match Thread Coventry City v Manchester United - FA Cup Semi-Final

Cost us??? We are in the semi final against Manchester United. What do you expect. It's over £100 million talent in their front 4. Not sure this is the game to be calling this out. They are young and growing anyway.

Exactly. If we played like we did against wolves and lost it would be fine. It's the lack of conviction today. The players are working hard but playing very much within themselves

Giving them far too much respect. Everything is being played in front of them. They are are playing a very high line with two bin lorries as CB's let's get in behind them.

Won't have a better chance to beat united than today. A team that is inconsistent at best anyway and also incredibly depleted by injury. Bench looks very weak, the longer we hold on the more likely we will win.

From what I know, they have two changing rooms, but they are double changing rooms.

I find it crazy impressive how wembley is able to organise the level of personalisation it does overnight. From the semi yesterday finishing at what 6PM and them at best leaving at 8PM... To having all of that cov specific stuff done is crazy to me.

If we win all 4 I'd bet we make the play offs. Norwich will lose one of their 2 games. But don't see us winning all 4.

    Wembley Transport Updates Thread

Train down from Newcastle this morning was gleaming. Normally drive down for matches, but with some car troubles didn't want to risk it. The train was even bloody early (well aware I wont be as lucky going home)

Down to 9 men nice and early. Might make it fair for the 11 players of united

    Torp or Hamer?

I'm not sure even come September questions should be getting asked. Very limited time on the training field for the first few months here. Even with a pre-season it may take a little longer to adjust. Can take some signings from abroad 18 months... Think you are right that it will come for him...

    Referee

Pete you are spot on. People that say they want consistency are wrong, and actually hypocritical (without meaning to be) I have said it a few times. We don't want consistency, if I make the wrong decision, why should i them be purposely wrong again in the name of consistency? Referees aren't...

    Referee

Agreed. I think it's quite telling that although there is still a bit of uproar about this Gabriel handball incident. There isn't anywhere near as much as when we have VAR controversy

    Referee

VAR in Europe have different protocols and also different rules as to when to get involved. It is far better which is why there are less issues. (There are still refereeing mistakes, but VAR doesn't get involved as much due to their rules on what is a VAR intervention)

It seems like nobody wants to win the league this year. Leicester, Leeds and Ipswich have all been throwing away points

We will make the Play Offs have faith in the lads

Pretty poor? They had an awful start but have probably had a very similar to us. Had a fair rebuild themselves and lost key players including selling one of their best players in January... In fact unlike us they have actually managed to beat the majority of the top teams in the league, its...
