    Bye bye Villa

The Chinese government is not daft (unlike ours). They are wise to that sort of thing. The Chinese are the olympic champions when it comes to dreaming up imaginative fraud schemes.

    Bye bye Villa

Exports/imports of products are unaffected. It's transfers of financial assets (cash, financial instruments, gold etc) that are affected. There are cleverer people than me who have tried to figure out a way round the embargo. In fact we were taking cash out of China (illegally) up to one year...

    Bye bye Villa

No it's impossible. My wife is Chinese and her brother is a top executive over there. There is no way of taking large sums of cash out of that country. I have property in China and I can't sell up and move the cash here for the same reason.

    Bye bye Villa

No it's not. The owner wants to pump more money in but he can't because of currency movement restrictions imposed by the Chinese government last year. That's also had a major impact on property prices where I live because 70% of buyers were coming from China until recently.

It would have been even better if they had juxtaposed it with a picture of Villa's winding up order.

    Bums on seats

On average I pay about $40 per ticket for the 300 level when watching LA Kings play hockey. But if you go to a midweek LA Kings game it can be as low as $20. The real killer is the cost of the beer - it's around $13 for a can.

Ticket prices in the US vary a lot. For MLS games the price typically varies from $20 to $150 depending on where you sit and which club you are seeing. The seat for a $20 ticket is not really any worse than for an expensive ticket. The expensive tickets just move you closer to the front or the...

Obviously you've never been to an MLS game. Not saying the atmosphere is great but it isn't the way you have portrayed it.

Jimmy Hill was a pioneer of new ideas in football. Some worked, many didn’t. But surely there’s no harm in trying. Personally I think our club could do with refinding it’s reputation as an innovative and imaginative club. If it doesn’t pay for itself the idea can be scrapped. But if it works ...

But the DVD would just be a one off. My idea is to try and increase the habit among people who sometimes go but who are not regulars. We have LOADS of fans in that category. Increase the frequency of their attendance would increase our gates.

My point is that collectibles are habit inducing. Yes they are not going to persuade non CCFC fans to go. But for someone who goes to say 6 games a season it could increase their habit to say 15 games per season particularly if they’ve got kids who want to complete their collection...

Yes indeed. And I oppose the Bible for exactly the same reason. The religious fundamentalists are the problem, those who believe their holy book to be the perfect word of god. People highlight Islam because there are far more fundamentalists in Islam than in Christianity which is why Islam poses...

    Wembley disappointment

What is terrifying is that so many people take the Bible or Quran as the perfect word of God. If you had read those appalling books you would understand why that is so dangerous. But you haven’t, and so you don’t.

Out here in California I go to NHL hockey and our local hockey team has a good idea for attracting supporters. They give out a free bobble head at certain games. The head looks like one of the players and it's a collectible item because over the full season you can get the whole team. It's a...
