Player of the season so far?

Hamer as player of the season based on his one match is a big shout!

    Wembley team last time

We tried to sign McNally and failed. We all wanted to sign him iirc. At our club for half a season he had one poor game (Stoke) and one sub-par game (Wembley). Kind of agree w you about his distribution but I wd hope that was something that he would have improved with coaching. I like both...

    Wembley team last time

Accept all of that but we’re likely to play Lati at right back and MVE in front of him. I think we’ve made progress given we lost our two undoubted stars and reliance on loans but I’m not sure that we look stronger than last season when we were, by and large reliable defensively. This season we...

    Wembley team last time

I’d take McNally and Doyle over our current defence and Norton-Cuffy actually was our best defender on the day. Add in Hamer and Gyökeres and I’m not sure of the point that we’re stronger overall.

    Haji Wright nominated for POTM

It’s a PFA award not an EFL one. Even then, he scored a hattrick March 5th in the league vs Rotherham. Plus 2 goals against premier league opposition in the cup and another hat trick on Feb 26 against Maidstone . Seems bizarre not to include him

    Can anybody beat this?

One of my fellow travellers - the one who’s apparently "Perfectly negative yet entertaining throughout" saw the league cup game where we won at Preston in 2000. https://www.11v11.com/matches/preston-north-end-v-coventry-city-19-september-2000-1496/ He never fails to remind us when we go to...

    Callum O'Hare

Genuinely not sure whether I’d start OHare or Torp alongside Sheaf and Eccles at Wembley.

    The Ref v Hudds

Very poor. Palmer’s tackle on the touchline given a foul was mysterious. Their player getting a foul for sitting on the ball while Palmer complained he could get to it was even more baffling. Missed loads and was as bad for both sides. He missed a blatant elbow from Bidwell seconds before we...

    Unusual Events

It was a 1-1 draw. Still all to play for in the second leg

    Wembley parking

Parked a minibus at Wembley last year. Wasn’t too bad getting out but the last 2 miles getting in were possibly the longest of my life. So frustrating to be able to see the ground and be stuck behind thousands of stationary vehicles to get to our designated place (was supposed to be for cov fans...

Worst take of the entire EFL season….

    Where are my Niis?

He’s already using the “perfectly negative yet entertaining throughout” quote. He was actually very partisan on Saturday. He even thought the ref should have given several fouls in our favour that were ignored.

Oh ffs. All best to his loved ones.

    Ben Sheaf in depth

Sheaf was brilliant on Saturday. However, his failed sliding interception was the first of four errors in the build up to their second goal.

    Robins celebration

I don’t think I’ve ever taken against an opposition player the way I reacted to the Wolves #21 today. Snidey, whiney, shithousery all game.

    Lati song 👎

Possibly the most incredible single post I’ve ever seen on here.

    Missing piece of the jigsaw

Agree. Garry Thompson would have been a superstar in the Prem-era game and an England regular.

What would our survival odds be if we went up?

Seeing what they did to West Brom and what West Brom did to us doesn’t portend well.

What would our survival odds be if we went up?

Agreed. The “Kompany is the natural heir to Pep” brigade don’t seem to as vocal as they were last season but many being quiet is still working in his favour as he’s escaped criticism generally. Buying a super-talented but super-inexperienced goalkeeper was a strange move I thought. Virtually...
