Yes. It's clear SISU's willingness/capability to bridge the shortfall was gone. I'm sure Robins alluded to potential sales in January a few months ago in a CT quote, in which he said something along the lines of it would've been a very different window if a new owner hadn't come in.

In all fairness, without King coming in Gyokeres almost certainly would have been sold in Jan.

Which is fair enough but I think you've already let the cat out the bag really by instigating this discussion. Like I said though regardless of the reasoning, which I very much doubt will be as shocking as you're making out, it's been fairly obvious for some time that there inevitably was...

In all fairness to Boddy he actively opposed the price increases set by DK. He knew that they would be met with uproar and box holders, commercial partners and sponsors alike would be up in arms. Not that DK listened. I still don't particularly understand what you're getting at though with the...

Not all will leave as that's impractical as it is pointless. You're unlikely to get much better at the lower level as they're usually grossly underpaid and under skilled. I've worked with a few commercial departments previously and believe me the calibre of the staff isn't exactly high.

There would've been zero time to onboard a new Head of Commercial/CEO in May/June. It would've been impractical to do it in May due to the POs, and following that the club had to act quickly in getting the ST/hospitality prices in place in June. Then there's sorting the sponsorship packages and...

I know those within the commercial team in particular are concerned as essentially they saw this summer as a bit of a watershed moment - in terms of none particularly felt that they were secure in their roles and the microscope was very much on them. That's not really all that uncommon when a...

He hasn't really done anything notable during his tenure other than the absolute bare basics. You can surely see why DK wants to potentially get rid and either replace him with someone of a far higher calibre or take on the role himself?

Which was solely driven by the success on the pitch. It's a nonsense to suggest otherwise.

I don't really see why this is being made out as some shocking revelation. It's quite clear Boddy would be moved on as a new owner came in. Fundamentally he's SISU's man, not DK's. The same will likely apply to Tynan also. I think I said as much back in February that this was an inevitablility.

Well at least I can take comfort in the fact that the schools I went to were undoubtedly better than the shitholes that spat you out.

From memory he's also had a hip issue which kept him out for months, ruptured his ankle ligaments and suffered a calf tear.

Hmm, it's not really talking shit, he's had successive lengthy spells out over the past 3 seasons as a result of injuries. I think that more indicates he's more susceptible than most to breaking down at some point within any given season.

I mean I'm not a doctor but I really don't think injury prone players improve with age.

    Transfer targets

Ideally we'd have as many bodies in as possible for the trip to Portugal but due to the difficulty in recruiting in this division that was always going to be a tall order. It'll likely be a long window but hopefully Robins will have at least the vast majority of his ducks in a row come the end...

    Transfer targets

Bar last summer, there's often a flurry of activity in the first week of July. The lack of activity isn't really anything to be concerned about.

To be fair, he can love the club but also feel he's not being offered what he feels he's worth. The two aren't really mutually exclusive. Ultimately it's a short career and therefore players fundamentally have the right to milk it for all it's worth.

Does it really depend on Robins? I might be misinterpreting, but surely by bringing Robins into the fold with regards to negotiations that suggests DK/the club is trying to convince Hamer to compromise on his salary demands?

    Gyokeres

Well it isn't really is it. It clearly highlights the risk clubs run when they try to hold out for inflated fees when the interest deemed to be as strong as initially thought. But bury your head in the sand if you so wish. Well given the vast majority of transfers are either undisclosed or are...
