If it was a pre agreed done deal it would have happened bY the end of last week and he would have had this week to work with the players. I don;’t think we have any evidence that Harry and Doug are mates.

No one has suggested that the club hadn’t considered who might succeed Robins. What was said was that no one had been approached or discussions held. One is succession planning which is very different to actively searching for a replacement.

God i hope you are wrong. I know your track record is mixed. Eustace would be a huge disappointment for me ….. no real track record, and no real pull in the market. I hope we are going for at least one of these 2 criteria.

It doesn’t seem, crazy to me. It isn’t just a case of selecting your preferred candidate. You then need to agree their package, the number of support staff they can bring in and their packages, the transfer budget and policy going forward, etc etc. Ambitious managers will have ambitious...

I didn’t say it wasn’t possible for Robins to get us promoted, I think it may have been. Im Saying his track record says it wasn’t probable.

How many seasons has Mark managed in the championship ? 8 How many top 8 finishes ? 1 If you want to get promoted that isn’t a good track record. I totally agree that its only the last 2 1/4 seasons has he had a squad that should have made the top 6, but he hasn’t defied the odds in the way...

Brighton aside I’m not sure i see much evidence of clubs hiring managers based on data.

It was a mixed season. Awful start, great middle, 2 fab cup matches, awful finish. Wolves away and United are 2 of my fav memories as a City fan, as was beating Leicester at home …… the rest of the season was very forgettable.

Robins total managerial performance in the championship is bang average. It’s not even good, let alone the sort of track record that would give any owner a high degree of confidence that he would get your club promoted to the Premier League. I think Mark has been brilliant for us by the way...

I think @Jimmy87 is mixing his drinks here. Top candidates don’t apply. Their agents let the club know that their client would be open to talks. Certainly managers under contract, such as Carsley, do not apply ! It may well be true that they didn’t apply but that doesn’t mean they were not...
