What would be pointless is staying with a manager who when given a load of money assembled a mess of an unmotivated squad, with problems all over the pitch and an inability to do the basics. We are in a relegation fight largely because of Robin's failure.

It concerns me a bit that Lampard seems to be in the dour, serious Robins mould rather than an extrovert motivator. Seems these players need a shot of energy and enthusiasm.

What a weird nonsense post. Robins got us in a really poor situation and looked to have no idea what to do. Action had to be taken to try and turn it around. Keep Robins to manage us better on League 1. What a load of bollocks.

What do you expect him to say? 'Robins spent all the money on assembling a shit squad and we have no chance for years'? (That's probably the truth). But the Chairman has to offload the failed manager and keep it as positive as he can.
