Yeah I get that great players doesn't necessarily mean they become great players. I just can't see how someone can be devoid of tactical nous after playing at the highest level for so long (and successfully) under some of the best managers in the world.

The kit goes in the kit van with the kit man and normally one other person. The rest, all goes in one coach.

The players and staff do travel on the same coach.
