    Championship thread 24/25!

I really don't think I could stand losing at Deepdale again. Especially so soon after losing to Swansea and Norwich. Its almost like we should just forfeit these fixtures at the start of the season!

    When do we play Portsmouth?

Match Thread Coventry City - Blackburn Rovers Match Thread - Tuesday 1st Oct

The performance last night makes criticism of effort levels in the previous 7 games all the more valid. We knew they were not playing to their full potential

Match Thread Coventry City - Blackburn Rovers Match Thread - Tuesday 1st Oct

It wasn’t about being overly negative or dramatic. Today’s performance shows that most of the criticism on here was justified. When the players show effort, they get praise. When they show laziness, they get criticism. I don’t think that is strange

Match Thread Coventry City - Blackburn Rovers Match Thread - Tuesday 1st Oct

That was like watching a completely different team to Saturday. Exactly what was needed. The result was the icing on the cake, but the most important thing was the level of effort. I feel relieved after that. As on Saturday I honestly felt like Robins had lost the dressing room. Tonight...

    Motivation- Down to the players

If anything it should be even stronger in the younger players. A player in his 30s has already reached his peak. Those in their 20s should be pushing themselves to be the best player they can be

For those who were there at the start of it all

I think what is important to remember is that whatever happens with MR over the next few weeks, the journey isn’t over for us. The club is in the best shape it’s been for at least 40 years.

    2 wins

We need 4 points out of these 2 games, and more importantly we need a performance from the players. Anything less and we’ll be heading into November in the relegation zone. At that point we’ll struggle to turn it around as we know these players are incapable of dealing with pressure

    Problems and Solutions

I suspect that’s the problem. These players don’t seem as mentally tough as those that we had previously

    Problems and Solutions

Doug King needs to do one of two things IMO 1. Give Robins absolute free rein to control all aspects of the playing side. Coaches should be chosen by him. 2. Sack him.

    The Players

But they weren’t there in 2018 so aren’t proper fans right? Only the truly righteous who attend every game, regardless of how bad things get are proper fans it seems

    The Players

All but 10k people aren't proper fans according to you

    The Players

That Yeovil game was to this day still one of the strangest I’ve seen, as I’ve seen us play worse than that and win. It just seemed to be that every time they come forward Yeovil scored. Didn’t Robins say a couple of years ago that he’d found out after that game that some of the team had been...

    The Players

No other club pulls in that many with a team showing no effort And we aren't mid table. We're at the bottom

I expect us to give it a go though

    The Players

Generally speaking if your aim is to be in the Premier League within the next 3 seasons, its not a good idea to get into a Championship relegation battle

    The Players

Well I probably am exaggerating about that, but the current trajectory will certainly affect next years season ticket sales, and in my opinion, you'd struggle to say that it would be undeserved
