    You wouldn't pay a pension at all on that basis, but given that they do, there is no real reason why they don't uprate similar to other pensioners.

According to an article I read Canadian pensioners living in the UK have their state pension uprated by the Canadian government so it's unclear why there isn't reciprocity for UK...
