I don’t think that was because they prioritised medical infrastructure over new signings though… Anyway, the original quote was misreported on here

In fairness to Tony, he specifically said it was UK voters who were making it an anti-Khan thing.

It’s horses for courses really. I think the rising standard of technical ability makes for a satisfying watch at the higher levels. There are still plenty of flair players among the top sides too. It’s a different game from what top flight football was like when I was a kid/teenager, and it’s...

It’s hardly an unusual period of dominance for any of the top European leagues

Hardly, imo. Genuinely exciting three horse title race, new teams coming in and out of contention, standard of play higher than ever. Hard to say with certainty that Man City’s period of dominance will last another three years. Meanwhile in Germany, Leverkusen are the first team not called...

    Doug on CWR

I’m not sure why a self-confessed novice to football like Doug would be making these kinds of directives to the recruitment team. Surely that’s not how he runs his other businesses?

The Spurs fans I know are actively hoping City beat them - they have zero interest in winning the game.

    Family zone ticket exchange

You may think you’re a dedicated family of fans, but if you’re planning on sitting in the Family Zone then the club (and various people on here) would actually prefer you just get out of the way.

    Family zone ticket exchange

But why is it incumbent on the customer to pay more and/or inconvenience themselves just to help out total strangers? The problem isn’t with the customers, it’s with the pricing and the availability. At least one of them needs to be tweaked - I hope it’s the latter; I expect it will be the former.

    Season tickets for 2024/2025 season

New pictures just released, seems like Doug has made some serious upgrades to the corporate lounges

    Family zone ticket exchange

If someone wants to attend only 50% of our home games, it likely works out cheaper to buy a season ticket - plus it’s more convenient, and confers more status etc. Why wouldn’t someone buy a ST in that situation?

Maybe in terms of salary it would be! But generally I agree with you.

I think there’s a fair amount of hindsight when it comes to evaluating Vik’s career path. He’s done brilliantly, but there’s nothing to say he wouldn’t have commanded just as much attention if he’d gone to a midtable PL team either. I look at someone like Ndiaye who’s gone a similar route to...

    Season tickets for 2024/2025 season

Freezing prices is a great move from the club, and hopefully sees us sell even more season tickets than last year - fair play to them.

That video of Doug from last season did more than anything else to convince me his judgment may be seriously impaired.

FYI it would be totally fine if you just didn’t like it. Doesn’t make you any less loyal to your team or anything.
