    Gathering for Tommy / Discontent

Because the free market was supposed to manage immigration numbers to demand. The rest is to counter your nonsense about this violence being somehow the British people 'rising against the establishment'. It's thugs being led by far right idiots like Yaxley-Lennon to target Muslims.

    Gathering for Tommy / Discontent

The Conservative free market was supposed to be the answer. Free movement of labour to meet flexible market demand. There are issues, many are vastly exaggerated. But then again 'Muslims, Islam, P****, burn a Mosque', Tommy, EDL, brick the police, burn a police station. Isn't it, is it?

Oh come on. It isn't 'people', like some noble uprising of English folk, it's overwhelmingly football and EDL nobheads who ALWAYS get pissed and have a go at the police.

    Gathering for Tommy / Discontent

This is largely a far right 'football hooligan' phenomenon. Fascist and far right groups and ideology infiltrating football firms and their associates and leading them like sheep where they want- attacking Muslims who have lived quietly and peacefully in these communities for years on end. At...

    Gathering for Tommy / Discontent

Fascist and far right street gangs have been around for over a century. Notably attacking synagogues, Jewish property and Jews in the 30's. Not sure who would want to associate with a movement like that. Personally, given our war history and war dead I'd see association with such a group as a...

    Gathering for Tommy / Discontent

Generalised islamophobia.treating all individuals in a religion as the same and implying they have contributed to the country's downfall. There are large numbers of Muslims active in UK education, Law, the NHS, Arts and political life. Educate yourself and stop wild divisive generalisations...

That's kind of the point. He needed a good rest and then to build fitness.

    Summer transfer window 2024

It's pretty clear Collins was bought in as a first team keeper. Whatever, he isn't a 'fine acquisition'. Saka wasn't a 'big buy'. He seems to have been a rather spontaneous piece of luck. As I said this year the players brought in have looked excellent.

    Summer transfer window 2024

I don't think Collins, jds or Lati are starting 11 players. Kitch we'll see. If they were bought to be first team players on high wages then that hasn't worked out. But they are ok squad players.

    Summer transfer window 2024

This season's transfers in are really looking good so far. Some of last year's aren't aging so well- Collins, Kitch, jds, Ayari, Lati (maybe). TBF some are ok squad players. Depends on their wages.

Let's hope we handle the more physical Championship a bit better than last year. I think EMC can handle himself, not sure about Rudoni but he is a tall lad. Saka will still be a target for roughing up so we need to be on it as a team and at the ref and the captain being vocal.

    Front 3 vs Stoke

He hasn't properly rested, then rebuilt fitness though. You still suggesting, away at Stoke, that we drop Sakamoto, break the Saka/MVE right side and play essentially 3 up front? Cos that ain't happening.

He won't be match fit. He'll just get injured. Likewise Sheaf, Torp. A bit of patience. EMC probably best choice anyway away at Stoke.

We have 10 days before the Stoke match. No way Wright will be fit enough to start that after his preseason. A sub yes.

    Match Thread Everton Match Thread

It would be insanity to drop Sakamoto, breaking his pairing with MVE and losing his contribution to the team. Sakamoto and probably EMC may be especially important in away games because they can hold up the ball and make themselves available with tenacity. Something Wright lacks. All a bit...

EMC has to start against Stoke. He's earned it and Wright needs to build fitness. EMC may be especially important in away games because he can hold the ball up well, has a good physical presence and.makes himself available.

    Front 3 vs Stoke

Same 3 as last night. You can't throw in Wright to start after his lack of games. So EMC should get a few games to show what he can do. Wright can be used as a sub as necessary.

I think I prefer EMC starting to Wright on this showing. Involved, aggressive, some defensive capability. Early days though.

Rudoni confidently wants the ball and knows how to run into space to get it. Gonna make a big difference.
