The club shouldn't bear sole responsibility or cost of pitch maintenance when that's not what was initially agreed when the sub-lease was signed. It sets a pretty poor precedent as well. I think if the situation can't be resolved soon then it's likely we'll be moving away from the CBS again...

He'll have zero influence. I still think it was laughable that he was hailed as some kind of vital mediator at the time of the Ricoh return between Wasps and the Club. The two parties came together because there was no choice. Not because of Andy Street.

Does he re-lay pitches in his spare time free of charge?

    CBS issues

Indeed. All roads are certainly leading towards that at the minute if the situation escalates further.

Indeed. And their silence is deafening. Fine if they want to sit in the Wasps camp, bridges have long burned between the club and the Council. But to be totally oblivious and stay silent while local businesses face potentially weeks of lost revenue on match days, which is likely vital to their...

If the pitch isn't brought up to standard then I can't really see any other route other than the club withholding rent - as one can pretty easily assume that Wasps won't be forthcoming with any compensation which the club will almost certainly be demanding, and rightly so.

Definitely agree. Although if Robins is looking to work at a nice, calm, well run organisation then the Championship is probably the wrong division for him.

I'd imagine that was the guess as anything between 10-20% is pretty much standard.

Indeed. But I can't imagine much conversing is going on between both parties.

True, like I said I'd imagine a number of PL clubs put one in to safeguard themselves so I'd imagine it's more than likely one is inserted in there but I'd question how sizeable it actually is. To be fair though I could be wrong as you do hear of some extreme ones - like Newcastle inserting a...

    Gyökeres Bids

No, but I doubt they would've put in a massive sell-on clause just because. Otherwise by that logic every young player sold by a PL club has a massive sell-on clause attached to their deal and I very much doubt that's the case. I'd imagine as a point of policy some PL clubs will insert one...

I was abroad for the Sunderland game. Returned just in time for the Rotherham game though... Although you still wouldn't have seen me on the match thread as I do tend to actually watch rather than sit on my phone for the entire game ;)

    Gyökeres Bids

If there is one I doubt it's overly significant. He was a bit part player for Swansea and looked incredibly raw during his loan spell with us. There wasn't really grounds to put in a massive sell-on clause.

Yes, which Wasps physically can't refute. As there are comments from Vaughan in the public domain that essentially state further investment would go into pitch maintenance and upkeep, something that clearly hasn't materialised upon our return last season. Pitch-gate isn't really a sticking...

Very interested to see if/how the club respond to this statement. Then again, if they're the ones being less than truthful perhaps their silence will be more deafening.

To be fair he was going to go either this summer or next. If his form continued there's little chance he would've signed a new deal.

Unless the referee on Saturday suggested that it would still be unsafe to play the Bristol game also. I guess it entirely depends on the extent of the damage and how much work needs to be done - a matter which the club hasn't yet been clear on.

    Gyökeres Bids

I think this was to be expected. With the O'Hare sale off realistically Gyokeres is the club's only viable option to generate a sizeable fee. And given the current situation, it needs cash now.

Indeed, and that poses two questions. What is the club's strategy to bridge the shortfall over the next month? And if SISU/the club do smell blood, what lengths are they willing to go to in order to apply further pressure?

It's obviously not 4-D chess. That being said there's clearly something going on, as the narrative coming out of the club raises far too many questions to be taken seriously.
