Really admire the job Eustace does wherever he manages. Very unlucky to be sacked as B'ham. Very good manager.

3-2 Millwall. We have to win next week.

I know it was in poor taste and apologize for that. Still a little pissed off at the manner of his exit - his comments after his exit, the sunglasses stunt he pulled upon joining them (a Championship club no less and not a Prem team). Plus I hate Wilder and Sheff Utd. My comments were also...

Can someone please clatter into him and break his ACL (either the same one or the other one)?

We have a match coming up at home versus them. Hope we can finally beat them.

Teams need to get him riled up and get him to pick up silly yellow and red cards.

Match Thread Coventry City - Oxford Utd - Match Thread - Friday 16th Aug 8pm KO

Oxford fans on their forum seem to think the ref favoured us and that he was shit. They’re still fuming over 7 minutes of added time. I really don’t get it.

Think Binks and Kitching might be a better pairing.

Maybe I’m missing something, but I thought he seemed to have a mean streak at WBA and now appears too nice. But he’s very pacy and powerful and shields the ball very well. Just waiting for him to get into a groove and catch fire like Haji.

A really great performance marred by 2 sloppy defensive lapses which we can’t afford against the better teams. I really hope we can still get 1-2 players in this window, but if not, we have to figure out a way to be tighter at the back and more compact/solid in midfield.

I hope so too. Anyway, at least both strikers are up and running. That's what matters.

Look I don't want to ding Simms too much. After all he scored a great goal vs Bristol C in midweek. But today he just seemed a little off his game and missed getting a touch on Haji's pass which would have made it 2-0 and then we would have won at a canter. Instead he next mishits a ball in our...

So glad for the win. Would have ruined the weekend if we drew and only had 1 point to show after 2 games. Poetic justice that the winning goal came via a gift from Oxford.

We really need Sheaf back and need another defensive midfielder in the next couple of weeks

Well they should’ve scored 1 goal at most not 2. It’s all semantics.

Match Thread Coventry City - Oxford Utd - Match Thread - Friday 16th Aug 8pm KO

Well it was almost 2-2. If they just sat back we shouldn’t have conceded and hammered them 4 or 5 nil. But they attacked to the extent they could and fair play to them scored with whatever chances came their way (largely due to our sloppiness at the back as well). Last week’s result versus...

Prior to that they briefly had the momentum and threatened a little. It honestly shouldn’t have come to this. We should have been 2 or 3 nil up at halftime, and killed it off. Reminded me of our game versus Watford a couple of seasons ago where we lost 3-2 away from home.
