And, wages for 'unemployed' footballers are still quite high and a problem for us. A downward correction in wages will start, but the championship average for a first team player will still be high.

Ten seconds sounds about right - all those action films do it like that. I'm sure Mel Gibson in lethal weapon did it a few times each film and them carried on his duties as a cop?

Similar, but would be tempted to have rose to start and clark-salter on bench.

Nice short interview with Jake - says that fanky has been texting him repeatedly to sign and that adi was an important part of his development in playing up age groups.

The Price of Fish in July

Yes, seems to be so. Personally, I would be using Pask at the moment as I think he will be more solid and reliable than da Costa and (currently - perhaps not in a year or two?) Drysdale. But, we don't know what goes on during training and meetings with manager.

The Price of Fish in July

From what I saw of Pask last year, he should be a reasonable sub defender who can play when required due to injuries/suspension, but not someone you want to start 20+ games. Given our lack of options at the back currently, I would have preferred him to da Costa on Sunday (allowing dabo to start...

Legend at the sky blues tavern!

Just been in with the family - Dave Bennett is in the Bennett booth! A really nice guy, posed for photos, signed things for the kids and answered a variety of questions. We also managed to get another tour upstairs, with the two tone DJ booth and bar. Thanks Benno.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

I still think we won't have a set front two with 2 on the bench, I reckon that MR will rotate them around down to form, the opposition, injuries/resting, future fixtures and even changes of formation.

    New supporters club near town?

In tonight - love the place. A super enthusiastic bar manager (who is apparently the admin manager at the brewery) very kindly showed my wife and I around - including opening the upstairs to show us the venue and managers office! Will certainly return - an excellent sports bar close to the city...

Happy for him to have time. Not expecting him to make tackles, just hoping he can ride some challenges - thinking about how COH gets rough treatment.

Agreed. Forest were happy for him to have the ball on the wings and he moved it well, looking for spaces to pass into and run into. I'm hoping we will see him start to take a few players on, but I don't mind if this is in a month or so and he just gradually builds confidence and getting time on...

Fair enough, ratings are about opinions. For me, Walker was in a more central, attacking position with tighter marking, whereas jones was left in plenty of space on the wing. I also thought walker did 'occupy' the defenders and made them work.

I I also think it compares well to most teams in this league (assuming we can get/keep them fit). Once the 7/8 games a month kicks in, we will be glad to have a front four we can rotate without a significant drop in quality.

Fully agree. Some have walked on 5 and Jones on 7. I was pleased that Jodi came back, keen for the ball and wasn't troubled defensively, a good, safe return for him. But, to say that walker was less influential (or not interested), I don't get. I'd happily give them the same mark, 7 seems...

Those prices look good to me. As I'm up in Coventry, might nip down tonight....just trying to persuade the wife it will be a good idea!
