Will the club really receive an EFL sanction though? Or is that just yet another stick for Boddy to use to publicly beat Wasps with and conjure more vitriol towards them?

I don't think it's the former two. There's certainly something strange going on behind the scenes.

Regardless of Wasps' promises or shortcomings the club's narrative makes them seem like complete buffoons. Especially when you match it against previous comments. As I've said something is very amiss.

    Wasps out

    I'd imagine so.

Obviously that's the case. But that's not the point. In their statement it's said: "Promised investment by the Arena into a new pitch has unfortunately not materialised over the Summer, which has been compounded by concerts on the pitch and then a huge amount of use at the Commonwealth Games...

Yes, but this was over a year ago. Boddy also says the club and Wasps will work very closely together and that there will be a real working partnership as to how the pitch is prepared moving forward. Yet somehow seemingly no one from the club's end seems to know why the pitch has been re-laid...

    Wasps out

If Wasps refuse/are unable to pay compensation to the club for lost revenue then the situation could quite likely get considerably more ugly.

From who? Boddy? I think he's probably using a worst case scenario to add fuel to the anti-Wasps fire.

The club have a pretty good relationship with Burton I think. When they were looking for grounds to play at when talks broke down between the club and Wasps, Burton were one of the few that agreed to a ground share. If St Andrews had fallen through I think they were the backup option.

You'd think so, yes. As really I'd imagine the club could sell Hamer and Gyokeres on cut priced deals in a relatively short space of time if desperation really kicked in.

I don't really think it takes an ITK to figure out the situation is less than positive though. Something is quite clearly amiss. We've brought in predominantly loans this window when Boddy has previously affirmed that's a market the club is looking to take a step back from. There's been no...

The pitch wasn't ruined at that point and Boddy was probably fairly confident that he'd be able to roughly get what was demanded for O'Hare given it was likely McNeil and Cornet were going to be sold - which has now happened. O'Hare's injury and the pitch issue has clearly changed things.

Then given the timing of when it was raised would it be to get the club through the summer months until the season restarted? Indeed, and again as I said, that begs the question of how the shortfall is bridged if games are in fact postponed/rearranged to be played away...

He claimed both parties are in trouble last night and once again reaffirmed that a sale was needed. The club probably isn't on the brink, but they're clearly facing some serious cash flow issues over the coming month if games are postponed/rearranged to be played away. Especially if a sale was...

Once interest is received from higher placed clubs and agents subsequently get in a player's ear, then the likelihood that said player will sign a new contract is relatively slim.

Again, I think that's the issue. Do SISU have the capability to provide further loans to the club to bridge the gap? I very much doubt it. With regards to the latter point, I find it difficult to believe Hamer and Gyokeres will extend their current deals. Certainly not if they continue their...

    CBS issues

I think the issue is that now that O'Hare is no longer being sold, for the obvious reasons, the club now find themselves in a precarious position. Especially as if there were interested parties in Hamer and Gyokeres, presumably most, if not all, have probably moved onto other targets.

The club pretty much operates hand to mouth. Seemingly a player sale was needed anyway. Without revenue earned from home games on top of that, that's going to cause a pretty sizeable cash flow issue.

Perhaps. SISU clearly want to apply further pressure onto Wasps and this gives them an ideal excuse. That being said if they took that route again I could see things getting even more problematic quite quickly - for both parties.
