    Transfer Shouts

I think it's difficult to compare the now to then really. Fees received for Chaplin, Bayliss and McNulty would've probably gone further than whatever we're likely to receive now due to the club's significantly lower wage bill and much lower club operating costs. With our wage bill likely being...

I very much doubt we'll ever be in a position to spend those kind of fees on players under the current operation.

    Transfer Shouts

Incredible this has even received likes to be honest. No one is asking the club to put itself in financial jeopardy by spending hand over fist, they're simply asking for any outgoing player to be adequately replaced. Not for the recruitment department to be forced into attempting at performing...

    Who else?

Why would a PL club send their player here knowing he'll be competing with four strikers? Their wage contributions would only likely be nominal if he's guaranteed game time. Another striker is probably at the very bottom on the list of priorities anyway.

    Transfer Shouts

We may well have enquired. I'd be very surprised if we could afford him though.

    Transfer Shouts

This kind of mentality really does concern me. It's like fans a few weeks ago suggesting that it wouldn't be the end of the world if Hamer wasn't replaced because Howley would receive more game time. It's baffling.

    Transfer Shouts

Not only that but, as with Eccles he's likely to miss at least a third of the season through injury.

    Transfer Shouts

I'd imagine there are a list of names the club will have prepared in the event any of O'Hare, Hamer or Gyokeres is sold. Whether they're successful in bringing in their primary target/s is a complete intangible as it's based on a variety of factors, such as whether the fee is right, whether the...

    Transfer Shouts

You make it sound like Robins, or any manager for that matter, has such a luxury? Every manager would of course prefer to bring in a replacement following a sale of a key player as soon as possible but most of the time that's just not possible. The inference from the ITKs suggest a sale is...

There's 7 weeks still remaining of the window?

    Championship 22-23

Blackpool fans must be concerned as well. Critchley gone, Bowler likely to go, and no signings yet either.

    Championship 22-23

They've also paid players and staff late twice in successive months.

    Transfer Shouts

I've spoken about my reservations on him before. Forest is his third club at the age of 21. As you say either he's chosen poorly and has been unfortunate or he's another in a long line that just hasn't really progressed beyond his 'wonderkid' status.

    Transfer Shouts

Given he's made one appearance since he signed in January I think it's safe to say he isn't in their plans this season.

    Hamer bids

That's only likely to happen in the final few weeks/days in the window though. Which would come with its own complications, especially with the club looking to replace the outgoing at potentially very short notice.

    Hamer bids

What so no clubs are spending in the PL?

    Hamer bids

What garbage. As previously stated by the more sensible posters our players just aren't rated anywhere near as highly as the fanbase seem to.

    Championship 22-23

They have a billionaire owner and automatically will have the biggest average attendance in the division. They were always going to spend it was baffling how people thought otherwise.

    Contracts 2023/24

Hmm interesting. Given Swiss Ramble says Championship clubs usually receive between £7m-£8m a season for TV rights and solidarity payments, that seems slightly high. I know we hosted a number of Sky games that season though so it could've been boosted by that. Would be interesting to see what...

    Contracts 2023/24

I think TV rights for Championship clubs are more in the region of around £7m? Plus games that are televised but that only accounts for £100k for home fixtures and £10k away I believe.
